Zmodo EZCam 720p WiFi Camera with 2-Way Audio & MicroSD Card Slot (SD Card not Included)

Between this and the Zmodo Mini IPC camera I definitely prefer the EZCam. While not being glitch free, it seems to work for me. I have it in two locations around my house inside a window looking out to check 2 entrances and it records to micro SD card that overwrites itself when it is full but with a 16gb card I get about a week of daylight (I set the recording schedule in Zviewer accordingly) recordings and 2 weeks with a 32gb card and you can move the contents to your computer at those intervals to save the footage. You do need ZPlayer to view the compressed video files but it is a free download from Zmodo. What I like about the EZ cam is that you can view it in Internet Explorer when you type in the IP address (admin was user name for me and default password for these cameras is 111111) and also on Zviewer and not just on your phone but also on a PC. It is more versatile than the Zmodo Mini IPC Wifi Cam and easier to setup as you do not need the zink setup which messed up my wireless settings repeatedly when I tried to configure the Zmodo Mini which you can only view on your phone with Zmodo app or online at user.zmodo.com or myshare. Those cloud websites do not record as reliably as a SD card and also feel less private than viewing it on your computer locally with Zviewer. I was able to record onto my computer with the local storage option on top of the SD card recording function. Both recording options you can personalize in Zviewer as in when and how long etc. There are ways to view the clips outside of Zviewer or Zplayer, however you need a conversion software like Any Video Converter (I drag the 264 file into the program window as it does not work with the open file dialogue) to change the H264 compression to mp4 format. This however is one of the weaker points of this camera, it is not that easy to view the files that are recorded unless you use ZPlayer. Not many conversion programs or media players can handle their file format as of yet. In terms of motion recording to be honest it missed most events however I actually just like it for its recording and viewing functions and the SD card slot makes a big difference with the EZCam over the Mini IPC Cam. I was able to get the Mini IPC to work too for a while before it stopped working again off and on. Clearly it was much more of a hassle (although it may be working for some nonetheless) and it interfered with other wireless devices and my router settings and I prefer the versatility of the EZCam.

I have used Zmodo products for a few years now and used to also recommend them to others. I can no longer recommend any of there products. The old Zsight app, horrible user interface but very stable and provided great functionality was replace by the new Zmodo app which is full of bugs and has compatibility issues between itself, older hardware, new hardware, older firmware, and newer firmware. New firmware for older hardware has caused stability issues of the older cameras. New cameras lost features of the older cameras. A recent firmware upgrade has bricked two of my older cameras. The new cameras arent as good. I will be replacing ALL zmodo equipment (1 PTZ, 6 EZCam, 8 channel NVR with 8 SPoE cameras) with another Hikvision.

The product is good if you are willing to spend days getting it set up to work with your network and phone. It is not user friendly and after spending hours on the phone waiting for customer support, and then more hours to get the setup completed initially, a new application update installed today ended up with the system saying it can't find my device AGAIN. I have spent 2 hours waiting for chat or customer support phone help to get the issue resolved with finally having to to hang up and go to work. There are other devices out that who offer good support and are much easier to setup and install. Do not recommend.

Previously gave 5 Stars but had to RETRACT!! Stay away! Far away from this camera. Bought in April.....dead in November and you can plan on waiting on hold for ZMODO customer service for at least 30 minutes! Camera was working fine and then all of a sudden kept losing Wi-Fi signal while my other camera had no trouble with signal at all. Then one day JUST A BLACK SCREEN....NO PICTURE WHATSOEVER. You've been warned!!Wait update!!!!! Then they send me a NEW camera and it died on me too! ZMODO PRODUCTS ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORSE!! AMAZON should reconsider their relationship with this company. BAD BUSINESS!!

I have a problem adding this to my Blue Iris system. The description says it can be added but so far, nope.It works with the Zmodo phone app, but I need it visible in BI along with my other cameras.A IP address is assigned and a port is open (8000) for it, but it cannot be accessed.Any ideas?

Nice solid baby camera. Don't expect to use the sound feature for baby monitoring though. There is quite a bit of hissing with the audio. We bought a separate sound-only monitor that stays on all the time and jump to the tablets when we hear questionable things. Mounting was easy. Note that we put some black electrical tape on the front of it to block some of the leds so it wouldn't bother the baby. It gets a little warm to the touch too, so you don't really want kids grabbing it.Summary: Cheap with good picture quality and the apps all do a solid job. -1 star for the sound part.

I have owned these devices for eight months. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This is the worst I ever had with Zmodo. The devices automatically disable "devices offline" three out of seven days, and I can't monitor the room.Also, the devices was very hot, therefore, the micro as got damage.

Big disappointment. Very limited WiFi range, and even when mounted close to router it would only work intermittently. The camera did generate both motion and noise triggered alerts but I could not view either stills or videos associated with them. The software for retrieving images from the SD card is poor. It is difficult to navigate to the desired time interval and I could not get it to play as video, only scrolled frames. The file storage format is proprietary, preventing me from even removing the SD card and transferring data to my computer.

Una me llegó usada y la regresé.La 2da la configuré y funcionó bien solo por 3 días.Al 3er dia ya más nunca me pude conectar.Desde el día 1 siempre tuve ruido en el microfono.No lo recomiendo. El producto sin embargo se configura fácil y tiene buena calidad de video. Tiene para que pongas una micro SD para grabar. No es compatible con Synology.El software para celular muy bueno, pero no usar Zmodo sino el otro Zflix o no recuerdo como, muy bueno.

Este modelo es malisimo porque se sobrecalienta la camara y no sabes si se va a derretir y te queedas preocupado cuando sales de tu casa porque no sabes si habra corto circuito o te provocara algun incendio de lo caliente que se pone. Ademas de que trae una senal de advertencia de que se pone muy caliente.Pero por seguridad no lo recomiendo.Yo uso esta marca de camaras de seguridad en mi casa en USA pero el modelo que manejan de camaras para mexico son muy malas. Cuando estuve en Mexico encargue dos para ponerlas en casa de mis papás y la verdad no me gustaron.Existe grande la diferencia de calidad para Mexico y USA.

i am not happy with the product and have decided to return it. the audio is horrible. you can't hear anyone speaking in the room you are monitoring even if there is no background noise. also if you use the "hold to talk" feature no one in that room can hear you. the video quality is very good. you can't use the actual zmodo software to look at your setup from outside but it works with meshare.com. i will try a Xiaomi Yi IR Night Vision, instead of zmodo.

Update March 2017,I was nice until Zmodo change the app and website access. Used to work with the Zsight app like a charm then I have to use the meshare app and couldn't turn off sound notifications. then they updated the website and started getting less and less notifications.Used to get 200 or more now I am lucky if I get 10. I don't know if it is the software, the camera or what but now is useless. DO NO BUY!!! you will have to get other one in a year. Really disappointing and the customer service is horrible. They never reply or like the last one "that has never happen to me". stay away.Nice Cam works great. The speaker on the camera is not loud enough, you have to be 2 ft from the camera to be able to hear what the person is saying. Sensitivity is high and you might get "false alarms" for a change on the lighting (my neighbor in front parks his car back up every night at 12:00 am and I get a message because the headlights illuminate my front door. The scheduling is a bit complicated but workable.

not the best quality in picture but does the job! we bought this when we got a puppy and within his first 6 months, all we did was watch what he did at home. it's great being able to see what they are getting into and if you need to rush home or if they're fast asleep
