Peace of mind
It takes a while to get set up but it's not difficult. The round counter is a killer disappointing because it's not a round counter it's never accurate. The powered level maybe is not 100% needed but it has sounded on me with out me noticing the level was low so I think it's good. The powder die though is essential. It's very easy if a case gets misaligned and you have to stop on an upstroke to get a double charge or no charge upon correction. It takes out the worry and additional need to inspect powder level on every case. The kit is worth the purchase for the peace of mind with the powder die alone. However you don't need to buy this kit to get the powder die. You can buy it separate and while you will not get the audible alarm the die will stop you from completing the stroke on a no charge it double charge. Just make sure to disassemble clean and reassemble the die properly before use. Mine was not assembled correctly out of the box. All and all very happy with the purchase.

A great addition to your reloading plant!
It does exactly what it says it does. It did take a little playing around with the micro switches on the powder safeguard die but not a big deal. Other reviewers are correct in saying the powder level seems unnecessary but what the heck, its part of the package deal. For those of you that do not have the case feeder and bullet feeder, take a 1" by 12" piece of flat steel or aluminum and drill it to mount on the back of the press and drill it to accommodate the control panel bracket. It will look good and give you a place to strap the wiring harness. If you wire tie all of the wires in place the connectors shouldn't become a problem.

So-So
This is a relatively expensive toy to add to your LnL AP. It installs fairly easily, although the cable design makes it a bit tricky to route the wires now hanging from all over your press. Function? The primer level and primer-out warnings are valuable. But you can achieve a good enough result by adding some weight to the top of the plastic rod that comes with your press to ensure the slide locks back. The microswitch that detects low primers is exposed, and I tore off its metal trip-rod pulling the pin on a tube of primers. The low powder warning works, but the need for it is questionable in the first place. One needs to replenish the primer tube every 100 rounds, and at that time your eyes are ~6 inches from the powder measure. Why not sneak a peek :) ?The stroke counter works. but it will add a stroke every time you make an extra push to make certain a primer is seated. and add multiple counts when recovering from a glitch. It's not a "finished round counter", so I can't find a reason to care about it anyhow..I haven't yet gotten the powder lockout die to function - just threw it in the parts box and used my old Hornady powder check die instead. I don't need the press to lock up when powder is low or high - I prefer to look at the powder check die's indicator each round since it can tell me when powder is off a bit, not just no powder or a double charge.Construction? Meh!The cables connected to the micro switches are frighteningly fragile-feeling at each connection point, but they do seem to hold up. The cable sleeve doesn't leave quite enough loose wire for the mounting runs required, but you can fix that with a utility knife if needed. The mounting bracket for the Control Panel itself is unsatisfactory, trading the stability of a 2-part connection for the low cost of a 1-screw setup. Combine that with a warning not to over-tighten, the result is a panel that is easy to mount so loosely that it readily moves while the press is in use.Extras? Yes, the set included some LED lights that are quite useful . . . if you haven't already lit up your press with the superior lighting system from Inline Fabrication. That hole in the AP's toolhead just begs for an LED for downlighting. My bottom line is its an OK but overpriced toy that may appeal to you.

Powder Check Die is infuriatingly inconsistent.
All of it works great except the Powder check die. No matter how I tried to set it up it would only work for 5-10 cases before it would start falsely stopping the process. I tried everything to get it working but I finally just took it out and am currently using the normal powder cop. There is hardly any info available on this die and the documentation is not very helpful. I am going with one star because this was the major reason that I purchased this upgrade to begin with.

Great addition to your press
The control panel is a great addition. My only con on this product is the really light duty electrical connectors which are small and fragile. I had to have one piece replaced when the female socket broke when I plugged it in. On the PRO side Hornady Customer Service was great and shipped the part to me with no hassles and it arrived quickly.

Hornady pride!
OK so when I purchased this, I wasn't sure exactly what I was getting into. I just really like purchasing things for my reloading equipment! The best features of the LNL control panel is that it let you know when your primers are low and it also likes at the work area. It goes on to alert you when you have no powder or double powder in your cases. It will not tell you when the measurement is slightly more or slightly less. It also alerts to when there is no primer being loaded into the shell. All in all I am proud of the purchase and the addition to my LNL AP.

Easy to set up
Easy to set up. Powder monitor die also works as a lockout skein addition to giving the alarm and adjusts easier than the RCBS lock out die I had been using. Primer level and primer slide alarms work well. Powder level alarm cover is a tad loose on the powder drop. I'm thinking a layer of electrical tape will tighten it. I'm guessing it's to take into account different powder drops, so I'm not going to ding them on it.
