Aurora Thermo Folding Timber Attic / Loft Ladder & Insulated Hatch. 55 x 110cm

We bought this kit as an alternative to paying a contractor to come and widen our loft hartch and install ladders.Firstly, the cost saving for the same quality hatch and ladders is absolutley massive and well worth the hassle of learning how to fit one yourself. We saved over £300 by doing this.My partner is the handy one and he researched it a bit and watched a few DIY videos on YouTube and decided it looked fairly straightforward. And he was right.This kit is sturdy, high quality and easy to fit, even for a complete beginner like us.We were really impressed.It looks really smart once in and is a rest size. The instructions were easy to follow.I don't know what else to say, it's great :)

Brilliant product. Fitted nicely in the standard joist gap, only needed to elongate the hole in the plasterboard so no structural work required. Best fitted with two people but I managed on my own by leaving the latch in delivery position so I could operate it from in the loft. Good seal around the hatch means no draught. Easy to operate with the supplied hook/pole once fitted. The springs take the weight of the door and ladder perfectly. Sturdy ladder with handrail. Everything is supplied except architrave/trim as this needs to match any existing nearby. Happy to recommend

The almost incomprehensible instructions that came with this made the installation look more difficult than it actually was. I managed this on my own in just over half a day. I wish I'd gone for the wider option as it is a bit of a squeeze getting through the gap, but the stairs are robust and very easy to open and stow.

Good quality loft hatch and very good value for money. Equivalent in DIY stores are about £15 more expensive. Instructions aren’t the easiest to understand as they are just pictures but if you take your time then it makes sense. I’d advise checking the pre screwed parts are fully tightened as the hinges were loose on mine so initially it wouldn’t close properly. Took me a while to work out the fix as they were on slightly loose but once I realigned the hinge on the frame and tightened it the lid closed properly. Despite this I’d still give it 5 stars.

Very easy to install once you've prepared the opening. Nice spring balanced mechanism so it gently opens with a light pull. Very good for the price. Arrived a few days before I expected.

Purchased this product to install in my sons house, 2 hours to install and very pleased with it. Great quality, brill value for money , very easy to fit , delivered earlier than expected, well packaged for protection. Can't recommend this highly enough very pleased.

Good produce works well and feels sturdy... only issue o hear is ours is quite near the wall which I realised meant it would be near to the wall but I didn't realise it needs a wider space when mid folding down...so I have to deconstruct the ladder and shorten the two lower sections..but looks good now all done....

The product was good for the price, comparable in price and workmanship with other loft ladders we have installed in the past. When we encountered a problem with this product 10 days after installing it ( 6 weeks after purchasing it), the after sales service by LB Supplies was excellent, could not have been better. I would recommend this company on after sales service alone.
