Bought this for my 2002 VW Passat Variant with Tiptronic.
My original F125 switch had been misbehaving for several months, showing the "implausible" fault in my VCDS diagnostic software - all the PRND lights illuminated. And then it got worse, when I couldn't start the car in Park. The trick was to move the selector to Neutral with the ignition on, turn the ignition off and then on again, and then start it in Neutral. Then I could select Drive. However, I needed to install a new F125 switch, but not at the ridiculous VW price. I bought this switch and asked my friendly local garage to fit it for me. Its a pig to get to, and is best done on a hoist. And it now works perfectly.Just a couple of footnotes. 1, you must install the control cable correctly otherwise you can't be sure the switch will work properly. There are videos on YouTube to help. And 2, make sure your battery is OK first. The Tiptronic needs a fully charged battery otherwise you'll get all sorts of strange problems including all of the above.

Failed after not even 6 months!
Your part is very poor quality it has failed after just 6 months being installed on my car. You shouldn’t be allowed to sell inadequate equipment!

Got me out of trouble
Bought this for a 2003 Passat 1.9 Tdi after gearbox decided to go into limp mode whenever it felt like it and also started to stop sending a signal to Solenoid so that Starter Motor could turn engine over when engine/gearbox had warmed up. Engine thought car was still in gear when it wasn't, despite dash display being correct. Since fitted, car has been well behaved and reliable again. Certainly recommend this part rather than finding a donor car to rob one from, which would have a part as old as the one that failed in the first place.

Worked as intended
Purchased after having starting issues with my audi quattro automatic .This gearbox position sensor stops the car starting if its not in neutral or park . Common issue on quite a few different manufacturers with the 5hp19 gearbox . It also displays what position your in on the dash and can put the gearbox into limp home mode with PRNDS all lit red if it's faulty .This replacment is more than half price ofnthe geninue one and worked first time been in the car a couple of months over x mas and New year with no issues so far

OOKK!!
The spare part turned out to match 100% for my 2003 Audi A6 2.5 TDI Avant quattro and 136KW. Impeccable service and the shipping cost is not exaggerated. Considering that I also had to pay import taxes for shipping to Italy, I ended up paying £ 49.84 in total. Compared to the price of the original Audi part of 218 €, you see. In any case, the SURIEEN piece is perfectly functional. To recommend !!!
