Best price I'd ever seen for what I hoped was a factory replacement.Yes, it was indeed a factory replacement, in original factory packaging.Have installed it and been using it for some time, works perfectly so far.Therefore, 100% satisfaction with purchase.

I love my magicolor 2430DL; don't get me wrong. However, the OEM consumables are ridiculously expensive. I broke down 6 or 7 months ago and purchased a toner refill kit online. Lo and behold it was < half the cost of 4 OEM carts and it worked (reviewed, check my profile)!! WHen the drum unit started giving me an end of life error I purchased this unit at half the OEM price. It was advertised as an OEM unit and arrived in packaging that looked brand new.At this point I think that was correct but it took me several days of messing around and reading on the internet to get my printer running again. I think that the blame at this point is probably the firmware on the Minolta 2430DL although I initially thought I had received a bad drum.When I first installed the drum the printer went crazy with error messages. "Toner not installed", ERROR: 2804 or something like that. I put the old drum back and only got the drum end of life message again. Minolta troubleshooting site said to remove and reinsert the toner which I did to no avail. Minolta also showed how to spin and remove toner manually by inserting a screwdriver in the little key slot on the right.The following procedure worked to get me up and running with NO error messages.1) remove the drum and all 4 toners. Restart the printer and get error message, "no drum cart installed"2) insert new drum and restart the printer3) now you get "No toner installed message". Turn printer off.4) insert all 4 toners manually. You'll need a screwdriver.5) restart printer and you will get weird error messages. Ignore.6) restart printer AGAIN and viola, everything is good.I'll amend if something else happens...

This drum cartridge worked perfectly. After installing I did have to restart my printer so it would recognize the new cartridge and reset the usage so it would indicate 100%, indicating a new cartridge.

This Cartridge didn't work. It's exactly like the cartridge that I am trying to replace but my printer still doesn't work. It keeps reading that the ink is at the end of it's life. I plan on sending it back and hope that Amazon refunds my money or at least sends me a replacement.
