Quality Vent Magnet Cover
These work really on ceiling vents. You can place the entire uncut piece on the vent and it will hold.Suggest making a template and then marking the cuts for exact fit rather than free hand cut. You can use a bulb changer pole for placement for really high vents. (Vents to no where). This worked really at getting rid of the whistle that is present in some vents. it should also work on vents that are drafty in the winter time. Our duct work is in the attic, and when it gets cold, you the vent lets the cold air in. These are much heavier than ones at local stores but have a much stronger grip so its not an issue with staying on the vent. The local store ones are lighter and have to be positioned just right to stay.

I'm glad I found these magnetic vent covers
The handle that closes my vent wore out and fell off. I was going to buy a new cover, but these magnetic covers cost less so I got them instead. I'm so glad I did. They're easy to use and work great. I got three for the price of one vent cover. I totally recommend these.

Great hold, easy to trim to fit
My guy's office is upstairs in our house and my office is down in the basement. [Yeah. I don't know how that worked out either. :)] In order to keep it reasonably cool upstairs, it is *freezing* in my office. I needed a way to block the vents that didn't involve wrapping and unwrapping the vent covers every time the seasons changed. These work perfectly!!I would highly recommend measuring your vents to be sure you get closest to the right size. [I was surprised how much they vary.] These were the right size, but because of the damper handle, I couldn't get a good seal. [Shown in first picture.] They were easy peasy to cut down to accommodate the damper handle. [On the other vent--not shown--I did a better job of cutting out a hole for the handle so it looks a little better than the picture I have here.] I used the excess magnet pieces as frig magnets. :)ONLY caveat: If you have vent covers ["grills"] with fins that stick way out, these probably won't work. The magnet is strong enough, but it needs good contact with a majority of the vent cover. I saw some other magnetic vent covers that have a hollowed-out portion so those larger fins will fit. I didn't need them here.Would buy again.

Covers my pantry heat vent well
This was great for the Heatvent.Since there were more, I put one on the fridge as a dry erase board. Great Idea.Definitely worth the price.

Very easy to use
These vent covers were very easy to cut with a good scissor and immediately stuck to my vent. These are not thin they are well made covers, you need a good scissor. It definitely helps with the air condition in my downstairs rooms. I would recommend these and buy them again if I needed more.

Perfect fit!
I have a large central air return in my upstairs hallway ceiling. Even though I can close the vents there are small holes where the heat gets sucked up through the vent. These magnetic vent covers are very durable and have strong magnetic power to stay attached to the vent. Before I purchased these I had magnetic covers that just wouldn't stick and kept falling off. I wouldn't hesitate to order these again. They work awesome!

Warning!
There should be a warning that "your vent covers may be aluminum"! Like mine are, but didn't realize it. Magnets do not work on aluminum, of course. My bad, but with many vents being aluminum these days a warning would have been nice. On the other hand, they are made well and are reasonably priced. I have to figure a way to attach them now. Velcro?

Unusual Use
Yes, I use this as a vent cover — on my cook top. We have a down draft exhaust on our black glass top cooktop (yeh, I know “glass top cooktop” sounds funny — but it’s descriptive). The problem is that we can occasionally get a cold draft from the exhaust opening; so I cut the magnetic cover to the proper size and use it, black side up, to cover the vent. It works great and looks just fine.
