My first Gundam
This is my first MG unit and yeah gold coated for first Gundam unit! Argh!Building is fun while taking more care for the nubs because you want to prevent scratching or tearing the gold coat. Good thing it's undergated giving you a clean looks even for photography. The gold shine is not cheap look that you might see on other web photos. In person the color is great and vibrant, not plastic sheen. I'll try to upload my photo again for reference (Amazon is not showing up my photo).I gave this kit a 3 stars I'll try to explain as brief as possible. For the price you're getting an old model with less stuffs compared to other newer models with same price or even cheaper MG's. Building the inner frame is too simple it's like putting mirror items together and done! I also have other MG my Nu Ver. Ka, and it has tons of details and per body parts it has more stuffs to put together. Sorry for comparing with higher price tag, but sometimes you get Ver. Ka with around $20 more from this Hyaku Shiki.Posing, yeah the picture picture time. You can pose this but you should pay attention because the parts might come off. The lower limb is loose because there is no snap between the thigh and knee, it's like small flat square nub holding those 2 parts.Weapons, simple and monotone... oops add 1 golden tubing and done. Not eye catching.Decals, stickers, etc. and etc.Stickers are fine and blends well with gold! How about the dry decals? NO. Be careful placing these because if you use cheap tape to hold this decal you might end up with ruining the gold coat. Try to use small cut of tape which is not too adhesive or if you have deep pocket then buy special tape for crafting. Will I recommend this? If you want gold or if you really want Hyaku Shiki like me (I prefer the HD but no more HD version).Try other model like Seed series or UC series they have better details and value compared to this for the same price, you might even get a display stand included.
