This is the best darn mattress I have ever bought. I've owned it since Aug 2015, and have even moved across the country with it. For the record, this review is thorough, and therefore, not G rated.Assembly FactorTake it out of the box, cut open the bags, and let it rise! Could it be any easier? Mine expanded fairly quickly, and I slept on it about 9 hours after I opened it up, but keep in mind, altitude, as well as humidity, will affect the timing.Comfy FactorYou don't even feel the mattress when you're asleep on it ... it's like being asleep in space, that's how comfy it is. I'm a cold sleeper and it helps to keep me warm, which is great. My husband is a hot sleeper, though, but this bed doesn't make him sweat all night, either. On our old mattress, he'd toss and turn, but he doesn't at all on this one. You just kind of go comatose in this bed, which is excellent.Clean FactorIn the fall and spring, I used to like to clean my mattresses by steaming them, and then throwing them outside for a day to bake in the sun and catch a breeze. NOT ANYMORE! I don't have to. It comes with it's own mattress cover, which you just unzip, throw in the wash, and then zip right back on. Easy Peasy. I have spilled red wine, beer, water, coffee, and gosh knows what else on this mattress, and it doesn't have any way to sink through the whole thing given the materials it's made of. I could definitely see this mattress as being perfect for adults and children with issues of incontinence, or just with a terrible habit of erpetually having breakfast, lunch and dinner in bed.Adult Entertainment FactorThis mattress isn't bouncy so, the memory foam allows you to create a sturdy, yet comfortable, base for all your adult activities. The material absorbs sounds created by movement, and even creates an overall dampening effect on the actual bed itself so, if you like to hear the bed squeak, the springs, all that ... get a posturpedic and spend a couple thousand dollars every couple years.The Packing-up and Moving House FactorThis mattress is super light. I just moved a few months ago, and the moving guys were genuinely shocked at how light it is. They walked up to it, spread their legs, and hunkered down, like they thought it weighed a ton, and then, after actually lifting it, said, "Oh! Wow ... that's really light," and proceeded to use only one hand each to carry it out of the house and into the truck. I have moved it myself, too, and it's a breeze.UPDATE - JAN 2018My brother and sister in law slept on this mattress for 3 months, while they were house sitting, and then they refused to part with it so, it was my holiday gift to them, and my hubby and I are getting an even bigger one. Excuse the fact that I have nothing in our bedroom. I like my bedroom like my soul, empty. I call it "good for sleep hygiene" to seem more normal.Anyway, this bed is freaking AMAZING. I mean, for the price point I don't care if I have to buy one every 2-3 years. What a steal. It is definitely more firm than medium-firm, but I bought it because many reviews said it's very firm. I am in love with my in laws' tempurpedic firm Cali King but I don't have $3000 I'm willing to spend at the moment, so this was my best bet. I almost regret buying it because I am having such a horrible time getting up for work because it's TOO COMFORTABLE.Okay jokes aside, the box is huge. Be prepared to lug a massive box to your bedroom. I cut it open with the special tool they provide and it rose to 6in almost immediately. It took about 36 hours to get to the full 8in. My husband is 6'4 and 200lbs, I am 5'4 and 145lbs, he's a backsleeper, I'm a stomach sleeper. We have both woken up incredibly refreshed for the last two weeks. No back pain anymore!

I love my new bed. I was worried that it wouldn't last, but the Frugalwoods (financial freedom blogger--check 'em out!) said they've had the bed for six years and it held its shape for them. I love the firmness, but I think I'd go for a 10" next time because that one's a little juicier, apparently. Very firm, but also very warm. It took some adjusting after my spring bed, which seems to get a better airflow. Highly recommend; feels the same (even better!) than my ex's much more expensive memory foam mattress. I'll never pay over $300 for a mattress again!

I love memory foam mattresses! However, this mattress hasn’t been the best. We ordered for our daughter and the first mattress arrived in a thrashed box - it looked used. The seller did replace it, which we appreciated. However, the mattress still was a disappointment. It has a strong smell that has never gone away, and makes our daughter nauseous. Even after airing it out for an entire week before use, and now three months after delivery, it still has a strong smell. Also, while the mattress can be comfortable, the sides of the mattress do not hold their shape. If you sit on the edge of the bed the side literally collapse and you sink down/off the bed. I just came on here to return the mattress but I see now I’m out of luck,although it’s only been 3 months. I thought we had 6 months to return but apparently not. Very disappointing.

Bought for a Queen size bed in our spare bedroom. 8in is fairly firm, comfortable and perfect for a guest room or smaller child/adult on a regular basis. For the price even a everyday mattress if you get 1-2yrs out of it for the cost, hard to go wrong. No bad smell or strong odor, there might have been a slight odor but that was it at most that might have been the actual packaging and it was gone well before the 48hr recommended expansion time. If I was to use it I might spring for the 10+ in models to get a medium or medium firm.

Arrived a day early only took 3 days to get to Canada and my place from the USA somehow.In the box it’s compressed down to not even an inch of thickness.once taken out it seemed to be fully sized within an hour but I still didn’t sleep on it: some places say wait 24 hours, some 48.Pushing it with my hand I was worried it would be “too plush” and just absorb my body inches down into the foam. I was wrong it was perfectNo clue how peopleare saying it feels like sleeping on a plank. Yes you won’t sink down two inches but that not good for your back anyways. It’s the perfect firm/ medium firm for me

I purchased 2 of these twin XL. Neither of them expanded to 8 inches. (1 is only 6 1/2", the other 7") If you want an 8' mattress, I would suggest that you order a 10".They are very comfortable. Very firm, which I did read in the reviews and was concerned because I don't like firm. Our old mattresses (to us) were still comfortable (So we thought). I only ordered new because of a sag in the middle of the old ones didn't look good when the bed was made up. (I have 2 adjustable beds put together , making a king)After sleeping on these new ones for over a week, it has relieved pressure in my head that I have been experiencing for the last 2 years which I 'thought' was due to overusing my shoulders. (Little did I know it was the old mattress)Therefore.... I give 4 stars for comfort and if they fully expanded to 8', they would get the full 5 stars :)Very satisfied. They work well with adjustable beds.

I read a lot of review about this product on different mattress website and fairly this mattress is 4.5/5 stars all over the internet. I order the twin size, I'm a 6.0" 205lbs guy, I'm a back, side and a hot sleeper, I have no physical pain issues history. When I got this mattress I opened it immediately and left it flat on the floor facing the gel side upwards like in normal position without the plastic cover on it. The mattress grew to 7" in 4hrs the odor was still there but I didn't mind the odor and still slept. The first night it was very firm for me I actually felt neck and back pain on the first night but I was not feeling hot the gel did its job good. The second night no body pain issues it was broken in good. After a week of normal use it held pretty good and the odor is gone plus it's now in its full 8" size. Overall I can say that its a pretty darn good mattress for the price and it's exactly right on the scale of firmness level on the Lucid website. It's still little firm for me but that's my personal preference. Before you buy calibrate your weight and the firmness of this mattress as how soft you like. So, if your like me who likes medium firmness on the scale of firmness level showed on the Lucid website then go for a little more softer mattress. Also I would like to add keep this mattress away from liquids I've seen multiple cases where sever mold get grown inside the mattress and destroy the mattress completely, best way to protect that get a waterproof breathable cover for it worth every single penny.

These are the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on..at a fraction of cost.I bought two already.The smell is pretty annoying. But gets away after 2 days.

Great purchase. Vey firm and comfortable. Smell dissipated within one day for me. Bed decompressed in a few hours. Unfortunately, the packaging was damaged and a replacement is being requested due to discoloration. I'm unsure of how I'm sending this guy back.
