Faith based and accurate
I’m so thankful to have found something that teaches boys about their body and explains how to honor God! Our world already speaks so loud; having this as a homeschooling science and Bible tool is great!

Great pre sex education class book!
I bought this to read with my 9-year-old originally and we read it again just before the public school had a sex education class. I really appreciate the simplicity, the pictures and the descriptions in this book.

So happy with this book.
I’m so glad I came across the other reviews of this book. It helped me decide to purchase it for my kid. I had purchased and returned a couple of books on this touchy subject and they were awful! They were too explicit and I did not feel comfortable letting my child see it. He is 11.5. This book on the other hand talks about puberty and all the things that go with it and it was very well written. It restated all of our beliefs as Christians and I can. Is read this with my son without being uncomfortable. I would highly recommend this book.

I had ordered another recommended Christian series that read more like Masters and Johnson for teens. I understand every parent has to choose what is right for their child, but those books were unnecessarily graphic in my opinion. So I began to searching for something that I felt was more age appropriate, simple, easy to read, and incorporated moral choices. This book was perfect. It is very age appropriate, although some of the content may not be suitable for a nine or ten year-old (although the reading level is probably fourth grade). Age 11 and up can easily handle this content, and in some ways I wish it were a little more detailed for the 11-13 age range. It is hard to find a book with just the right amount of detail, but overall I was thankful I found this book. It is a great start. Of course, read the book first, but I think compared to most of the similar books on the market, this one is tactful, conservative, and fairly watered down. Two things to note for those concerned about graphic content: there is one paragraph on intercourse that is pretty straight forward, as well as a page on erections and wet dreams. FYI.

Great book for tweens
Great book for those going through puberty. My son liked this one and another we bought on here. He said this one was not as "fun" as the other book we bought because the other one was in a magazine like format

well written-thank you to the authors!
I was on a zoom training regarding the same subject matters offered in this book by our school district. It was taught by someone who described herself as secular. I couldn’t wrap my head around how to teach my boys ‘the talk’ based on her direction. I did some internet searching to find recommended books and this one was recommended as well as had high Amazon reviews. I received and read through the book before I read it with my sons. I’m so thankful for a book where I can be guided to discuss the hard stuff from a way God intended. If only I had a book like this when I was growing up.

Great book
The bad: it has faint nods towards a woman's role being the old cook, clean, raise the kids, but not so much that I felt it was worth even noting with my son.The good: our son is going into third grade. For those saying good for thirteen and up, your kids know more than you're realizing! If you want to be the authority on this topic, you need to talk with them before their friendsention anything if at all possible. We did it based on psychologists recommending talking with kids two years before you think they'll hear about it because that's when their friends will over share. We let our son read up until the dating portion. We gave him sticky notes to mark where he had questions and then we discussed all of those together after he read. It was wonderful. I loved how the book tied everything back to Biblical principles, especially as to why we keep the information and our bodies private and respectful.

Christian (church of Christ) stamp of approval!
I was desperately searching for reading material that 1) appropriately explained puberty on an adolescent’s level, 2) applied biblical truths, and 3) used scriptural references where applicable. This book checked off all 3 boxes! I read it cover to cover and I’m very impressed with its simple-yet-efficient layout.Note for US readers: The authors are from the UK, which results in differences in how some words are spelled. I read a review that mentioned misspelled words and I’m assuming this is what she was referring to, as I didn’t notice any true spelling errors.
