KidKraft Wooden Baking Set - Espresso

I have been so impressed my the quality of KidKraft toys and did not hesitate forking over the dough for this stand mixer. When I received it I was disappointed to find that the mixers were fixed in place and did not move. I did consider returning it but decided to keep it as it came with the other items (rolling pin, spoon, cookies, and baking tray) but I ended up buying another stand mixer from Hape because the mixer attachment moves. My kids LOVE playing with both stand mixers, but as of right now I have to say I would rank the Hape mixer higher than the KidKraft. If KidKraft makes the mixer blades moveable, I will def change my rating to a 5!

I wish I had read the reviews... First, I want to say that the quality of this product is really excellent. It's cute, the colors are nice, not the usual "tacky kids colors" which is why I bought it. The rolling pin "rolls" which is awesome, and the cookies, baking tray, mixing bowl, and wooden spoon are all awesome accessories. But for the price, it would not have required much work for the mixer to actually mix. It does lift and go down to take out or replace the bowl, but that's it. It would be so simply to make the mixer mix, that I had just ASSUMED it was. My bad! I've since found a mixer that mixes (there are a ton, actually, but I found a wood one, which is what I wanted). The colors aren't as nice :( but I think it will be more fun for the kid, which is what matters ;) I am keeping this set as there are some neat inclusions, but the price is a little high--I would bring it down or redesign the product to deserve the price tag.

Cute little mixer to add to the kitchen set. The upper part lifts up for realism but the 'whisk' part does not turn. Regardless, my toddler loves playing with it!It's solidly made; it's taken at least a couple of falls from about 2 feet or so and not a scratch! I especially love it that it comes with a sheet pan and cookies. It's a good toy to have especially if you have a kitchen set!I'd highly recommend this toy!

My little girl wanted a "kids mixer" for Christmas. I bought this for her (I mean Santa made it for her). However, you have to use your imagination for the "mixing" part as the beaters don't move. This is normally fine for us, but my little one wanted one that actually "mixed." I kept this for my 2 year old, but got the 4 year old one that actual mixes. Still a nice toy.

Both my 4 year old son and 1 year old daughter really enjoy this toy. Its very sturdy, great colors (looks more realistic), no small parts. I just wished the whisks moved (and so does my son) but I guess its part of the imaginative play. Overall, I reccomend this to any play kitchen addition.

I purchased this for my three year old son and he just adores it. He loves to "make" cookies for me and his father. This product is extremely well made and durable. The picture does not do it justice; it really is a pretty toy.

I got this to go with the KidKraft Espresso Kitchen we got for our son. He loves having his own mixer that looks like Mommy's! It is sturdy and has held up against lots of play over the last few months.

We've had this set for quite some time now and is used daily by my five and three year olds. It is still in excellent shape. Very well built toys. Excellent for baking wooden cookies.

After getting this as I've got a wood kitchen on the way I ordered this to go with it.Postage was fast and it got here fast and they are a good weight and feel strong but that is were the good stuff ends.The paint finish isn't great, paint has bubbles and has the orange peal finish.

Great quality, nice looking set. Would have liked it if there was a way to make the beaters turn on the mixer, or some kind of noise maker, but daughter likes it enough as-is. Solid product and goes well with their modern kitchen.

Very nice but a little big fragile for young children.
