Impressed.
This is the first swimmer's shampoo with no sulfates I ever tried and I must say I am impressed for a number of reasons.1. It does wash out the chlorine and dirt which gets into my hair either through swimming or going through a very hectic day.2. It actually stops my hair color from running out so once my L'oreal everpure sulfate free colorsafe shampoo got finished I used this and it worked! That is a VERY nice bonus.3. It has no sulfates or parabens which I love4. The smell is different. Makes my hair smell fresh. It also feels clean after washing. It does not lather that well because of course no SLS that gives it the lather but your hair is still clean. And for those who have 4b/c Afro American type hair who are die hard swimmers WITH color in their hair I would recommend this shampoo.

Wonderful Shampoo!
I purchased this shampoo for my husband and my son who swim regularly. Their hair looked totally damaged by chlorine, and other shampoos weren't able to remove it. Aubrey Organics works really good. They use it every time after swimming, and their hair is back to normal, perfectly soft and smooth. They use it with Aubrey Organics Conditioner. I've tried to use the shampoo and conditioner for myself, too (my scalp gets very dry in fall/winter months, and I decided to give them a try) and was delighted by the results. I need to say though the shampoo is not very lathery, so for the long hair, such as mine, you'll probably use up the bottle pretty fast.

Like other reviews
Like other reviews, you have to shake it real hard to use it. I use it after my daughters swimming class. They love the smell and it feels like it washes away the chlorine because the chlorine smell is gone after the wash. This was the only one I could find with a reasonable price without harsh chemicals. One thing though I dont know the bottle is leaking or not but even if I close the cap real tightly it always feels slippery. As of September, 2015, I conclude that I still want to use this one over other shampoos which have all other chemicals. Those ones do make hair smooth but I feel like I am putting on more chemicals on top of the chlorine. With Aubrey Organic shampoo, after the wash, hairs do get coarse and tangled. So I use kiss my face conditioner and it makes my daughters' hair smooth and easy to comb. That is all need from the shampoo. I bought another one.

Great shampoo for after swim!
This is by-far the best shampoo for after swim use. It does smell a bit medicinal. I personally love the smell from the conditioner, which is what I use right after each shampoo so that medicinal smell goes away. I also love the fact that it's cruelty free and there are no sodium laureth sulftates (sls)! On a side note, I'm pleased that more products these days are manufactured without. The sodium laureth sulfate is what gives the "lather" or "foam" appearance that other shampoos with sls provide. I'm pretty sure that sls are what's used in detergents. Imagine putting a detergent on your hair to wash! Too harsh for me, so I'm sticking with sls-free good shampoo such as this one.

Awful Shampoo Experience
This shampoo was not what I expected! I've used swimmer's shampoo before (Paul Mitchell and KMS) and this was nothing like the others. The shampoo was very watery, no lather whatsoever. It literally stripped my hair and left it feeling dry, brittle, and difficult to comb. The smell was like stale almonds. I ended up throwing it away. This is not typical of Aubrey Organics products, so I'm wondering if it was tampered with or just very very old. If buying this, buy directly from Aubrey or Whole Foods.

Best Swimmers Shampoo Ever Made
Having tried every swimmers shampoo on the market, I totally believe this is the best. Based in natural ingredients, it does great things for swimmers' hair. Perhaps more important is what it does NOT contain, and that is sulfates, which apparently are horrible for hair and scalp. The terrible news is that the company, Aubrey, doesn't seem to exist anymore, so whatever is left of the product seems to be expensive and hard to find. I'm glad Amazon had some to spare. And I really hope that Aubrey will resurface somehow, because we need their wonderful products. (Including the Swimmers Conditioner.)

"Tantalizing" scent too much for me
This review is for the swimmers shampoo. I have long, fine hair that is a dark brown color. I was worried about chlorine damage since I swim four times a week so I picked up this shampoo and conditioner. Regarding the shampoo, it has a strong, fruity scent that is not entirely agreeable to me. The consistency is very thin, so much so that I only apply a little at a time to avoid waste. The shampoo seems to have kept my hair in good condition (no chlorine smell!) and prevented discoloration (my grays are still gray!). But I cannot say it did much to smooth my hair or improve its texture. Overall, it is a decent shampoo with great ingredients but the strong scent and high price tag make it unlikely that I will repurchase.

Will buy again
After developing an allergy to some ingredient in mainstream shampoos, I bought this (based on reviews) as an alternative. IMO, it works very well. It is different from mainstream shampoos, of course, but I've had no allergic reaction to it. * * * It is important to use a vinegar/water rinse as one would a conditioner. After shampooing, my hair was a bit tangled. Rather than use my mainstream conditioner, I tried a rinse of 1 Tbsp white vinegar to 8 oz. water. Tangles are gone or occasionally minimal and my hair is nice, soft, and shiny. I will buy this again!

does what it says on the box
Awesome shampoo, the ONLY shampoo that rinses pool and sea stuff properly leaving hair clean, soft and beautiful without being greasy or flat. Restores vitality and shine, even every day, without any dryness residue and i am super fussy with my hair and have tried all kinds of after-swim solutions. Hands down top product. The lack of heavy foam proves the lack of chemicals, but if you shake the bottle before use, you will get good enough foam.

Sehr gut....

Curly girl clarify/chelating shampoo.
The water where I live is crazy heavy with minerals. This is fantastic and has brought my curls back to life.

No more itchy chlorine residue!
Can't live without it. Stops me itching after swimming exactly as I'd hoped.I have to admit though, I don't like the shampoo itself though. I don't know exactly what it is, consistency, smell, a bit of a chemical feel to it somehow. But that is just my subjective opinion. Factually, it works.
