Apeks by Aqua Lung Tech Shorts with Pocket

These Tech Shorts are worth every penny. The quality is outstanding. The pockets are very large (much larger than any other tech pockets that I have seen), and there are two D-rings on the inside. The butt is padded to reduce wear. According to the Apeks website size chart, I was on the cusp between L and XL, so I ordered XL. But the XL was huge and I had to exchange it for a L size.

Shorts fit great! I don't feel like they run large at all as some have stated. Seem true to size. I had ordered a Large based on reviews that claim they run big. Returned them for an XL and they fit perfectly, with room to expand to fit over a wetsuit when needed. I'm a dive pro and use them for keeping a slate and waterproof lesson plan, etc. One pocket also fits a small 100 foot reel and SMB. In addition, you can also clip in at least one flashlight and other items if needed. A couple other pros at my shop saw them and asked me about them....get ready for more orders, because they all love them! :) I just did some fun diving in them in Roatan wearing a rashguard and they were great. Nicer than diving in board shorts.

Haven't had a chance to dive them yet as I've been using my drysuit that has pockets. A little concerned about the fit; hoping that they can be snugged tight enough at the waist. Quality seems nice and generally Apeks brand is well thought of. I number of people I dive with are using these when diving wet so we will see.

It’s a good quality tech short. However, the pockets are not as shown in the images.Pockets are semi-bulky cargo pockets.For that reason. 2 Stars.

Expensive as hell but worth it. If you're into tec diving and, like me, find it hard to implement the minimalist approach to equipment, these are a Godsend. The pockets are HUGE with a separator in each one. There are velcro closures on each pocket to cinch it tight to your thigh when you're not using the full pocket. The waist has both velcro panels to adjust the circumference AND a belt with a plastic closure. These same pockets sell for much cheaper in the UK so if you can find a way to order from there, you may save some money after shipping.

Works great with wetsuit, backplate and wing setup. Provides much needed pockets for dsmb, slate, folding snorkel etc.

Love these pants. Fit great. I wear a 2XL Henderson wetsuit but the 1 XL. aqualung Tech pants are the correct size for me over my wetsuit.
