I find that I get a pretty good shave with this. Keep in mind that I have a tough beard, shave my head as well as my face and neck and use a cartridge razor. I only have two minor complaints. One, I'm not crazy about the lavender scent. Two, they're a little stingy. I felt a little shortchanged by the amount they give you.Other than that, it's a decent shave cream, still miles better than any store-bought foam or gel.

I have used Taylor of Old Bond Street since Colgate Palmolive stopped making the lather cream I had used for more than 40 years. I am very satisfied with this new cream. I get a smooth shave every day.

As the other types of Taylor shaving cream, this is a great product and ideal for traveling.

In around 2009 TOBS changed their formula to be paraben free. This lists the different paraben preservatives in the ingredients, and as the other reviewer stated, has very little remaining scent, indicating it was made before 2009. The plastic that holds the cap on was so brittle it broke, so I ended up throwing it away.
