Happy with it. Fan is quieter than an SLA1 was...
This unit is great, its fan is significantly quieter than the SLA1 I had and sent back with issues, and it doesn't have the issues that had (the SLA1 I had was going into protect mode when it shouldn't, probably just defective). It is well designed physically, and has clean sound, and plenty of power for my needs. So far, I haven't even heard the fan kick into a higher gear, so it seems pretty efficient (doesn't get hot). Personally I like the spade/banana/wire 3-way posts better than only speakons, though both would be nice I guess, actually also a 1/4 output would be nice, too. Banana/phone adapters are cheap though. I thought about the SLA4- wow, that is something, to fit 4x130W in a 1U, but then I couldn't bridge into 2x4Ohms, which is what I have right now. To summarize: Solid, clean, quiet (for a unit with a fan...) (probably would be OK with the fan disabled, at reasonable load/ventilation... runs cool!(ish)). Worth it over the SLA1 for most people I would think, for clean headroom. (Deeper in the rack and heavier, of course...) It does also have a better heatsink for rack mount, fins front-to-back instead of out-the-sides, than the SLA1. Note, I tried a Behringer EPQ900, that had REALLY loud fans, not recommended, though I think its vari-fans were just mis-programmed. I also have a Soundtech PS802, which I like, but not as much as this- so far, this is my favorite 1U power amp.

USE IT TO GIG WITH, dependable, tough, clean, good power
I had the little brother of this amp and still use it for my small solo giging rack. I used this for a solo, in a 6 space SKB road case... with a slide out that holds a mixing board. I have a cable snake on the front and the back and makes for a fast easy setup. This amp is quiet, reasonable heat for power delivered...I like the front volume controls on this model that are recessed...you push on them and they pop out for adjusting.. Fits into a standard SKB case.

Fits My Needs
Nice amp, has everything I need: 1RU space, 200 clean watts RMS @8 ohms. I have this housed in a homemade 4 space rack, with a Behringer CX2310 crossover and a QSC GX5 amp for subs. I use this "lightly" at home for music (Behringer B2030P monitors inside, custom Dayton 10" two-ways outside, 120 Hz high passed) so I can't vouch for durability on the road. It is built like a tank, though. I have owned other ART products and they have all been high quality. There isn't much out there for 1RU amps, and this one fits the bill very nicely.Pros:1RU SpaceRecessed Gain Knobs (nice touch)Plenty of power for most users (this thing would really smoke in a guitar or bass rig)BridgeableMultiple input connectorsCons:Loud cooling fan (only audible in a quiet home setting, may not be suitable for studio use)Transformer hum is audible, using near field (if you place your ear against speaker)Overall I love this amp, and there really isn't much out there for reasonably priced / quality 1RU space amps with this much power. ART fills the space nicely with this product.

Quit working after 4 months...
It Has a 3 year warranty, I don't want a fixed unit. I paid for a brand new one that works.

A good power amp.
Pretty much this is something used to drive a pre amp through a cabinet and it does it well. The two channels weren't really a necessity for me considering I have only one cab but I got it just for the future if I decide to get another cab(which is probably unlikely). It does it's job well and doesn't give me any problems.

Cheap price
Very transparent sound . Buying 5 was cheaper than buying a 200 watt by 5 amplifier . 5 bridged mono gives me 560 watts per channel .

Using it to power a Kemper
Loud as hell and works great as the power amp for my Kemper. Would recommend for anyone who needs a power amp for a modeler.
