Warehouse deals purchase, good price,quality....perfect for a 5 to 9yr old. Had some rust spots and used magic eraser to take of those and as far as the umbrella,very colorful and functions properly..... not meant to withstand strong winds just a nice sun shield for the little ones on a sunny day.

Very Heavy, no carrying strap, and easily breakable. You have to use 2 hands to pull down both release springs to close it.... Would need a third hand to then close the chair. Such a shame because the size is just right for an 8-11 year old. Not a tiny kid chair and not a large adult chair. But poorly made so can not recommend. One broke immediately. The other broke after 3 uses.

The size of the chair is perfect for my 7 yr old, and I would think it would be good for any small child. I can't, however, see this chair being large enough for a child in middle school or beyond, let alone an adult (unless he/she was extremely thin and petite). In the time it took for me to order this chair, the title description has changed from "pre-teen" to "baby/kids," which is more accurate, although "pre-teen" is still included in the more detailed description.I like that the umbrella is completely removal, although I have not tried to do so yet. (That feature was mentioned in the Q&A.) It does come with a Velcro tie so that when it is closed and folded down, you can secure it to the bottom of the chair.I don't know what "cup holder" the description is referring to, because there is none. There is a large pocket on the back of the chair that could hold a water bottle or a small towel or a book, so maybe that's the 'cup holder."I like the purple color, as does my daughter. It is a deep, dark purple. The umbrella is dark purple and white.There is no carrying case or strap, but it is small enough to be easily carried as is.One thing worth noting that wasn't mentioned anywhere in any description or other reviews is that this chair comes with safety locks to hold the chair in an open position once it is set up. You then have to unlatch them in order to close the chair. If you try to force the chair closed, that latch snaps off. Thankfully, I only snapped off one of the two, and the chair does seem to stay hinged open regardless; I think (and hope) it is just a safety feature. I've never had a beach chair with this feature before, and while we've not had a large number of beach chairs during our 20 yrs of marriage, we have had enough and not seen safety locks on any. There is a tag on the back of the chair with this information, but it was hidden under the folded umbrella which I did not try to operate prior to opening and folding up the chair. With the metal being white and the hinges being white and the safety locks white, and never before seeing this feature on a beach chair, it didn't occur to me to check for something like that. I thought the hinges were just stiff or I wasn't putting enough elbow grease into it.Despite that last item (and hence the median score), I like the chair and I think it will work well for my 7 yr old.Addendum:After using this at the beach a few weeks ago, we discovered the same thing another reviewer did: the chair leaks rust when wet! Very annoying to discover rust running down the arms and legs of the chair (and then onto my tshirt or swimsuit coverup) after rinsing the chair off. It also got all over the trunk mat of our car even though we thought we'd wiped it all up and the chair was dry. Thankfully, all of those stains came out (elbow grease and a wet paper towel on the trunk mat; oxiclean on my white coverup), and it was fairly easy to clean up the chair with a couple of baby wipes. Still, though. The hardware "shouldn't" rust.

We decorated a retirement party and needed miniature or and least small versions of beach gear as props. When I slipped the chair out of the box and set it up I found a major seam ripped out ( you could never let a child actually sit in it). Also the chair was dirty as if it may have been a return they just repackaged and sold as new again. I was very disappointed.

Great chair for kids older than the toddler age. Nicely made not too heavyopens easily and isnt to low to the ground. Price was reasonable.The umbreala is connected in sort of an odd way and I do worry a bit it will snap off.I also wish the umbrella colors matched the chairsI was only able to get all purple chairs. A bigger color selection would have been niceI searched for these chairs and this price for this size was the most reasonablethey arrived box nicely and all in good shape. The kids have not used them yetI purchased 4 for my grandkids ages 7, 8, 9, 11. I am sure they will get much use at the beach club .

This item is perfect, on windy days I wouldn't suggest putting the umbrella up because unless your sitting in it, or have it weighed down, it will blow away. This chair is very comfortable, I often sit in it if the kids are up and about, it is low to the ground, but that doesn't matter to us, I just extend my legs, and they just fit in it perfectly. I recommend this chair to anyone looking for an awesome beach chair with a little bit of attached shade, the umbrella adjusts in any direction or way you see fit and stays there after you've simply tightened it. There is also a velcro strap attached to the back of the chair so that the umbrella can remain securely attached and stored without worry. There is also a pocket on the back that the kids love to shove things into, I am truly amazed with how perfect this chair fit our needs, I couldn't have made a better choice!

We picked out these chairs with our grandchildren who had outgrown smaller ones. We are all very happy with the purchase. The chairs are much sturdier than the Target version we saw in the store and the grandchildren love the bright colors. They should last for several years of growing!

I recently moved to Hawaii and the waves are too big to take my 2 yo out in the water (plus she hates it lol)So I got this. Good price and works perfectly. This way I can keep my eyes on her, the umbrella swivels and can provide shade at any angle even if she's playing in the sand next to it. It has a compartment I use to leave my phone in so it doesn't get lost in the sand too. (:
