This compress its just warm enough for soothing and giving pain relief unlike the traditional rubber based compresses containing water that get super hot. the compress gets auto shut off after heating 10-15 mins. the red cloth cover is super comfortable and cozy to the touch. if you need a hot compress, this is not for you. I was that person until I used this and realized the warmth (the right temp) provided worked as needed. the best part is, there is no requirement of adding hot water to this product. you simply need to plug in and it will heat up for use. it's helpful for mentrual cramps and back/neck pain relief. I have had this hot water pad for around three months. I have had post Shingles pain for seven months and this pad helps me when the pain is severe. The pad heats up between 5-15 minutes depending on how often you use it. The heat lasts from 2-6 hours just as listed. The pad will be quite hot when it is done charging. I like to put it under a blanket while I am laying down. Make sure you do not use it while it is plugged in. Also when the pad is almost done charging it makes a buzzing noise as a reminder to unplug it. I would recommend this to other buyers. So far I am quite pleasedUPDATE: I purchased another heating pad as the previous ones were getting well used and would not heat up as much as they did when I first bought them. The new hot water pad is just as good as the previous pads. I have been suffering with post Shingles nerve pain for over2 1/2 years and they help take the edge off the pain. I again wrap the pad in a towel after heating it up. This helps keep it warm for a long time. Make sure not to use the pad while it is plugged in and do not put in on bare skin without wrapping it. The heat is quite hot at first but as time goes on it will get cooler. I hope this helps those who are in need of help with pain.

Stays hot for 45 minutes to an hr but it'll stay really really warm for over two hours if you keep it in the pillow case it comes with and pressed against your skin. Your body heat will help it stay warmer longer. It will feel slightly warm at 3 to 4hrs but definitely not 5 hours. The only downer about this product is once it starts to cool off, you cannot recharge it until it's completely cooled off. The charger must have a sensor or something that won't allow it to charge if it's still warm which can be frustrating if you want it warmer. Sometimes I'll go to use it a half hour after it's charged and I want it warmer and it won't let me charge it, the red light won't turn on. It charges really fast though, about 8-10 minutes which is excellent and convenient. I wish it came in different shapes as well instead of just pillow shaped because I wanted to be able to rap it around my hip and put it behind my lower back while driving but since it's pillow shaped, pressing too hard against it could burst it. It's a great product overall, just the unavailability of different shapes and not letting me recharge it to hot while it's already warm are my only woes of the product.

This product is a lifesaver for keeping me warm at the office and helps me keep the heating bills low at home. Very comfortable and comforting to use. The only downside I have found is that it stops working at about a year and a half. I used it very regularly for the first few months and it lasted through 2 winters. Disappointed to have to replace it, but it is incredibly convenient and safer/easier than using hot water.

The plug was always wierd. When I plugged it, when it is moved in a certain way them only it would charge. Later after few months it just stopped charging at all!Would definitely not recommend.

I love this hot water bottle. First use it was a little more than hot. I could barely put it in its bag. It was just to hot to use for quite a while. After it cooled a bit it was wonderful to use and the warmth lasted about 6 hrs. Never really getting cold. The Place you plug the cord into on the actual bottle is a bit awkward as it is a hard plastic square. I found I had to keep adjusting the bottle due to it when using it on my knee. I didn't really notice it when I warmed my toes in bed. Now when I heat it up I don't wait for the red charged light to go out. I just plug it in until I like how warm it is. Over all I love this product. I would recommend it to anyone. Just watch the heat level. Thank you.

Bought this for my wife, who has lupus and has many uses for the manual hot water bottle. It really does warm up in minutes, and is initially hot enough to really need a cover or protection on bare skin. Not in a bad way, but in a definitely-performing way. Lasts just as long as a conventional bottle too, depending on whether or not it's under a blanket or whatever. It is as heavy as you'd expect a similar sized hot water bottle to be, perfect size for two feet. Based on other reviews, we expect it to eventually wear out around 6 months, but will definitely continue to replace.Ours came in a girly pink color, not that it matters.

UPDATE 5/2022: I managed to lose the adaptor to this so I purchased a new one. Well, as usual, when a product does a good job, they monkey with it anyhow. The new adaptor does not fit the old one and the new bottle barely gets warm and does not retain heat. Huge disappointment and pretty useless nw. Originally it was s 5 star item; now, barely a 2.ORIGINAL REVIEW: When I was camping in Morocco in February, at night they handed out these water bottles and told us they would stay heated through most of the night. I thought, yeah, right. Well, they did the trick and I was so impressed that I immediately ordered one to be ready for my upon my return to the US.They are pre-loaded with liquid and come with a fleece padding. You just plug them into to heat them up. I found that a two hour charge kept them heated through most of the night. It really keeps my feet warm and I can move it between my feet whenever I have discomfort. They really work if you have a tendency to get neuropathy too. I sometimes charge it and rest my feet on my cold tile floors while watching television.
