Great water socks!
I am a woman and wear a size 8 to 8.5 in women's. I ordered the Low Top Socks in a size 6 and they fit perfect. I used them recently when I went canoeing and had to walk through mucky and rocky waters to drag the canoe out from the shore. It was much better than being barefoot and the grips on the bottom allowed me not to slip. I had originally bought these to wear with snorkeling fins to prevent rubber burns, but haven't had the chance to test them out yet in that aspect. My husband also ordered a pair. He is normally a 10.5-11 in men's, but a 10 fit perfect. Overall, I highly recommend these!UPDATE!!We recently wore these while snorkeling without flippers in Hawaii, and I think it may have been one of my smartest decisions in life. The rocks are volcanic so they are very jagged, extremely sharp, and slippery. If I didn’t have these I would not have been able to do nearly as much as I could, like walk on the rocks that border the ocean or take breaks from snorkeling without going to the shore. Being able to comfortably stand on the rocks was amazing.Sand does collect in these which causes some sagging and stretching, so you will want them to be tight and if you are between sixes, size down otherwise they will fall off like a loose sock. And since I didnt wear flippers while snorkeling, my where sagging a bit from the sand collected and kicking to swim, and I would size down 1 size if I were to buy again. My husband wear these with flippers, and he's glad he had them to prevent rubber burns and so he could walk on rocky areas as well.Overall, these are a must have, especially if snorkeling/walking on rocky surfaces. They are also nice because you can wear them in the hotel (who wants to go barefoot?!) when going outside and you don't want to take real shoes with you.

No regrets.
I purchased these "booties" to address potential rubbing and blisters inside my (also new) open back/adjustable strap swim fins. I have now used the fins about 10 times, 80% of the time, with the booties. I did not find rubbing to be a problem with or without the booties. However, I suspect that more extensive swimming without the booties may have resulted in in irritation and blisters. In any case, the fins are a bit more comfortable when using the booties and I recommend them for their usefulness, price and quality.More information:- The neoprene sock is fairly thin, but seem well made and reasonably durable- There is a texture on the sole that is very thin (it feels like it is silkscreened on), which does seem to offer some gripping/traction.- Fit: I wear a size 13.5 minimum (and a bit wide). The reviews strongly suggested that these socks run large. I can confirm that they do indeed run 1 to 1.5 sizes too large. I ordered a size 12 and they fit or were a teensy bit small. I would not advise ordering a larger size however, due to how the booties fit when in the water.- While swimming, my booties were a bit loose around the "body" of my foot. This was not a problem when I had fins on. When in the water, before or after putting my fins on, the socks would fill with water and stretch out a bit on the foot. It is kind of like having your foot inside a water balloon. The booties did not seem likely to come off my foot, so this was likewise not a "problem".- I wore the booties/socks while swimming with fins, and sometimes while walking on the beach or on gravel and concrete.- I sometimes wore the booties after getting out of the water and they served to keep the sand off of my feet and out of from between my toes between the beach and pavement, where I could put on my sandals.- I also occasionally wore the booties inside sandals and that was comfortable.- These socks are fairly low cut, and I was concerned the strap on my fin would ride up over the back of the sock. This did not happen. I would not mind having a similar sock that is an inch or two taller.- The top of the bootie is not "loose", it fits the foot snugly enough to stay on the foot. When stepping through a bit of surf, however, sand and water will pass easily into the interior of the bootie. Only the water seems to comes out. I found it easier to carry the booties and fins out into chest high water and then put them on. This is not a deal breaker, as I still found these socks to be very useful.- My wife has another brand of sock that has a velcro strap around the ankle. She did not seem to get very much sand into the interior of her socks.

Sizing seems to run large
These were great and very comfortable boots. I wear a 10 so I ordered a 9 since everyone seemed to say on reviews to go a size smaller. They were still a bit loose and I want them to be tight to keep sand out and not to come loose when diving. I use with my free dive fins and they fit snug so need boots to be snug as well so they don't bunch up or cause fins to come off. I reordered an 8 and will let you know how that does. I hope it works cause these are very comfy boots.update. The size 8 just came in and fit fine. a tad snug at toes but being Neoprene not uncomfortable. Haven't had on in water yet but seem quite comfy.

Great water socks
These are great and hold up walking around in them on the dock and boat launch. I use them to kayak in because they don't take up any space, and my feet are definitely warmer now. Going to buy 2 more pairs just as backups, but the first pair are holding up fantastic and I've used them about 20 times out already. Purchased 1 saize smaller than my shoe size for a perfect fit.

They loosen up in the water
I am a 10.5 shoe and bought a size 9 as recommended by the other reviews. They fit fine dry, but they loosen up considerably in the water. I was using them with a pair of fins, and all the excess material was floating around in the foot pocket. I would buy an 8 next time. I only used them a few times so far, but it seems like they are good quality for the price.

Size 9 fits like size 5
I've purchased these water socks before and have been very satisfied with comfort and durability. I ordered a size 9 which should have been men's as they don't come in women's sizes. They must have been mismarked as they were too small to even try on. They look like children's socks. Even if they were a women's size 9, they still would have been much too small.

Top stretches out after prolonged use
I like the booties for swimming in the pool. After 6 months, I had to sew darts in the top to keep the booties on while swimming because the top had lost its elasticity. Now they work again. I wear them to protect my toes from the rough concrete sides of the pool, and they work well for that. The bottom mesh has started to tear as they are not strong enough to survive repeated pushing off against the rough concrete as I swim laps. The inner layer of the bottom is still whole.

They fit!
A little hard to get on, but that's just the nature of the things. I have large feet and it's very difficult to find footwear that fits properly. These do. They're great.

Size Down
I normally wear a size 11-12 depending on brand, I went with the size 10 and they are still a bit big. Because they are very thin the neoprene is very stretchy. I got these to wear with my swim fins, because as I started increasing the workout intensity my feet were getting chewed up. I started with regular ankle socks, but they soon started getting stretched out so started looking for actual swimming socks, and these seem best so far; thin enough to keep the fins feeling comfortable, and still protects my feet from blisters and chaffing. So if you are using with fins or something over them order one size down, if you are going to wear them by themselves or with strap fins order 2 sizes down.

Fit true to size
These booties fit true to size, do not order smaller or larger than what you would take in a shoe size.
