Great Design!
I started making homemade pasta this last year so getting a pasta dryer was a no brainer. I wound up going with KitchenAid simply because everything else I own for pasta making is from KitchenAid (we use a KitchenAid Mixer with the pasta attachments). Anyways, I immediately fell in love with this hanger as I absolutely love how it break down for storage. Its stores almost completely flat as all of the hangers align in the same direction and the legs fold up. As someone that doesn't have a ton of kitchen space, I really appreciate kitchen products that are designed to save space and in all honesty, this is one of the best designs I have come across yet in this regard. To use it you simply fold down the legs and give the main center column a spin and all of the individual hangers symmetrically twist apart around the center column. Its a very simple design that works amazingly well. The best part about this hanger is the sheer number of hangers. I have made large batches of pasta and have never used more than 50% of the hangers available. On top of that the quality is top notch. I have no doubt that this hanger will be with me for a very long time.If your looking for a pasta dryer then you should definitely give this a look, especially if storage space is an issue.Highly Recommended!

Nice rack!
Nice well balanced, sturdy design with a SS/chromed finish. The lucite arms are spread nicely in a spiral and well spaced. They easily hold the advertised 4-pounds worth. Good-bye store bought! It also cleans up very easily. While you could nicely display it on the counter, it does fold flat. I appreciated that the box is nicely designed to hold and protect it.This makes it easy to store on a shelf or utensil rack. It also comes with a nice little utensil to help you easily load the fresh pasta onto the arms.Nice product. Thoughtful design. Worth the extra money in my opinion. I would recommend it.

The Rack is Great, The Wand is Greater!
We love this rack and its self-contained wand. When I ordered this rack, I chose it because of the reviews and KitchenAid's reputation for quality. Solid decision on both counts. What I didn't know, and what is my favorite feature, is the pasta wand that stores in the top of the rack. This wand is so unbelievably helpful and handy! I like to make long pasta. As the pasta comes off the cutter (KitchenAid KPRA pasta set) instead of grabbing it by hand, I use the wand to lift the pasta. Due to the shape of the wand, I can slide it right onto an arm of the drying rack. Once the pasta is exactly where I want it on the rack, a quick quarter-turn of the wand places it on the rack with extreme ease and precision. The pasta does not bunch up as it used to prior to using the wand. Each pasta strand is perfectly placed.I still stand by my assessment that the rack is a 5 star experience, but there is one feature I wish it had. I would like it to telescope to a taller height. As I mentioned before, I like really long pasta. Some of the lower arms are too close to the table top. I wish they were six inches (or more) higher off the counter surface. In all fairness, very few people would find the lower arms too short for their pasta.Lastly, I love the way it opens and closes. We are able to store it in a kitchen drawer. It goes from completely folded to completely ready for use in less than 10-15 seconds. The same is true for putting it away--very fast.

Great drying rack... even if a little pricey.
I love this drying rack, I love how it auto fans out the sticks as you open it, I love how they have given it a tool to transfer pasta from your machine to the rack, and I love that it folds down somewhat for storage... I just wish it wasn't so expensive... hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Great rack
I bought this when I bought the KitchenAid pasta attachments. I've only used it one time since i bought it but I like it. It folds up so I can store it on the side (with the plastic arms facing upwards) where it takes up very little space. Washing is a bit awkward but I am able to do it with the sprayer hose connected to the faucet. I then let it air dry in the drainer. I saw some reviews that thought the lower arms were too close to the surface but I put one of my longest fettuccine noodles on the bottom to see how it would work and it didn't touch the ground. The three legs are retractable but when out the unit is sturdy. Using 400 grams of flour and 4 eggs for my pasta dough only filled half the rack so it seems to be quite sufficient as far as how much it can hold for most people. That's about six hardy pasta servings.
