Evolution Power Tools R255SMSL 10" Multi-Material Compound Sliding Miter Saw

Well, you can't make a left 45 miter on a short piece because you're forced to clamp on the right side of the saw to make the cut on a short piece, and the clamp keeps the saw from going down all the way. Also, the positive stop at 45 degrees (both right and left) and presumably the others are off by nearly a full degree, more than half a degree. That may not sound like much, but when you're making a box, you end up with gaps, and depending on the requirements of what you're building, you'll either have to put more work (read "time") into what you're doing, or it won't be acceptable for the application. I had to manually lock it down right on the edge of the positive lock spot to get a real 45. Being a weldor, I'm disappointed that this machine can't keep better tolerances than I can manually with a speed square and a cutoff wheel.

Bought this to replace an older Evolution cold saw. The saw works well , I like being able to cut wider flat stock, but the clamping system sucks ! Already stripped the wing but that holds the clamp , and the one on the right side is useless because the mother hits it.Going have to fabricate a new clamping system.

This is my first circular saw for metal. The first time I used it I thought it was a godsend. I cut through 3/16 2x2 sq tube like butter. I also cut 3/16 2x4 rectangle and 1/4 2x2 sq tube. Cuts were fast, relatively quiet, and accurate.I posted a photo of my first project using this saw so you might understand what I’m about to say. I can not make a second one of these without buying another blade. My blade currently sparks a lot and no longer cuts clean. Cutting 3/16 flat bar is even a challenge at this point. I obviously need to buy a new $30 Evolution blade.So I will have to agree with other reviews that the blade has very limited cuts. I’m a DIY at home user and I might have to live with it. I like the fast cuts. I don’t want to bother my neighbors. I don’t think a fab shop would want to spend $30 a blade that only makes limited cuts.

Para asegurarme de hacer una buena compra me estuve informando mucho al respecto de esta herramienta antes de hacer esta compra. Para el precio pagado creo que es muy buena, buenos materiales, buena construcción y buenos acabados; IMPORTANTE. dicen las instrucciones que tiene guía Láser y no la tiene, (para reclamarlo) Ya la probé pero apenas tengo 2 o 3 ocasiones de uso, no le pongo 5 estrellas porque no trae el la guía Láser y solo la he usado 3 veces, veremos con el tiempo que tan buena es. El único problema que le ví es que en México solo hay un centro de atención por si necesitaras servicio y refacciones lo cual es muy malo ya que su ubicación es bastante lejana, espero no tenga que recurrir a ello en un corto plazo. Considero justo lo que pagas por lo que recibes, hay otras marcas con precios muy superiores que en mi caso es para uso personal en mis proyectos, no creo que sea una herramienta para uso rudo. El tiempo lo dirá.
