Take a while to get used to, but it's worth the growing pains highly recommended!
These things are great! I bought them for the sole purpose of protecting the ps4 analog sticks, because the rubber rips very often so they essentially work great to that extent. What I didn't expect is the comfort these provide if you are a marathon gamer you will surely notice the difference. Perhaps I only speak for myself, but I don't play games everyday, but I usually have 1 or 2 days set a side a week that I play for long periods of time like 6-8 hours and I find the next day that my thumbs are a bit sore or raw feeling. These alleviate a lot of the feeling after a long playing session they also offer more grip and I seem to not press as hard on the thumbsticks as I did before.I would highly recommend they take a little to get used to, because they are a little higher than the normal sticks, but you get used to them really quick. I personally have moved on to the taller thumb sticks which to me give me a bit more precision, but my son absolutely hates the taller kontrol freeks and enjoys these very much.To be honest at first we didn't like them then after about a month of using them off and on now we can't play without them! I would recommend although if you are going to buy 2 sets of these you go to the Kontrolfreek website and buy the triple pack from them for around 35$ if you sign up to their newsletter you get 10% off and essentially get 3 sets for the price of 2 and you will get a set with tall thumbsticks and short thumbsticks that way you can figure out what you like better. Some people only use the tall thumbstick for the right thumbstick for aiming and use a regular size for the left to run, personally I like them the same size just, because it feels more awkward to have different size thumbsticks, but that is just my opinion and everyone is different. I bought the freek vortex as well which is a short and tall combo, but am buying the snipers now, because I want 2 tall sticks.Buy and Enjoy!

CQC'S are the way to go.
These CQC's do an admirable job. I don't know if these "improve" your game. I have not noticed any difference whatsoever. That's not what I bought them for. I bought these to slow the decay of the PS4's faulty controllers. Many of us "early adopters" are finding out you can only get a couple years use out of the control sticks on the PS4 controllers. I started looking around at my options. I cant speak for the cheap gels, they may or not be worth a go. I can say that the KontrolFreek "Ultras" are worthless. They do not stay on. The stick is too high, basic leverage pops them off in almost any gameplay setting. Any protection of your control stick flies out the window when you are constantly popping them off and having to find and put them back on. I will say though, that if you are eyeballing the CQC's. They do the job well. I have never had them pop off, even in the heaviest of gaming sessions. The rate of destruction of the PS4 controller sticks has reduced. I am very happy with -this- purchase.*Update 3-19-2015*I must report that I have had them pop off a couple times now. Each time it was on the left stick, so maybe its just how I use the left stick. However, it is still way better than the KontrolFreek "Ultras" that I tried before. Its a minor inconvenience, that only effects me once in a blue moon.I should also mention, they have slowed the wear and tear of the controller to just about a stop. It had gotten to a point where I was seeing the tear grow almost daily. I haven't noticed any more damage since I began to use these.Overall, I see no reason to change the 5 star rating I gave it. The protection outweighs the minor inconvenience for me.

These definitely improve your gameplay!
This was my first time using PS4 grips/extenders and after getting used to the change, I can not play FPS's without them. They give you much better player movement/control vs the PS4 default analog sticks. Your Call of Duty or Battlefield gameplay will greatly improve with these added grips. They've lasted me around two years before the rubber popped off the plastic extender. And honestly, I think the reason was due to me forgetting to take them off the controller when family members are over and we game together.Last note, and I have heard this from my online friends who use KF's as well, is over time these grips will begin to "sweat" if left in a warm room. This happened to me after I was away from my console for two weeks. I came back to slimy KontrolFreeks which ultimately led me to just throwing them away. But overall these were a great purchase that lasted me a long time and I'm looking forward to receiving my second pair in the mail.

A skeptic who is now a convert.
I have a PS4 and XBone, so I can review this as a quality product, not just a single system. They are amazing.I had no idea what to expect, but I hate having to push the controller button around. It's uncomfortable and short. I hate that about all of the remotes because you have to push really far to look anywhere. So I thought, why not give these a try.You won't regret it.I didn't notice how good they were until I stopped using them. I have multiple remotes and used these until the batteries died. When I used another remote it was clear right away that everything was wrong. My accuracy went down and the experience worsened.I need to get more pairs for my other remotes. They snap on super easy and are fantastic in where they are positioned. They add only a little extra height, and if you have big hands you might even look into one of the larger sizes. Or mix and match. Just trust me, give them a try.
