Great cooler that will last a lifetime
I brought this cooler with me while camping in Texas in August. I had prechilled the cooler the day before and made sure all my drinks were also either frozen or refrigerated. I was overall fairly impressed with this cooler. I did leave it inside the tent in the 95+ degree weather but it kept ice in for about 2.5 days before the last bit of ice melted away. Even so, the melted ice was still very cold, and kept my drinks cool as well. Maybe if I didn't open my cooler so often or stick my hot hands in so much, the ice would've lasted a lot longer, but for the 2.5 days I really needed it, it did its job. My one complaint is the handle. It's a bit awkward to carry a cooler of this size with this handle, but maybe it's just me.

Solid
This 28 qt cooler is solidly built. I used frozen water bottles to test for ice retention. I found, if it is nearly full of ice bottles, that the ice will last for at least 5 days at 70F outside. If it about half full of ice, the ice lasted about 3 days. Seems the key is to avoid empty areas in the cooler.

heavy duty
Lifetime 28-qt cooler review. The cooler arrived in new condition in a nice thick ?Walm*rt? box.The build quality is good, thick and sturdy. I was pleased to find that the 28-qt model does not have adrain plug. The blue foam handle is soft and pliable, a good thing since the cooler is heavy for its size. The handle position, when vertical, has definite and reassuring notch locating feel. I tested the coolerusing initial load of 15 lbs of ice and some food, with ambient temp between 70 and 80 F and withabout three accesses per day. At the end of 4 and a half days (111 hours), there was still a substantialchunk of ice floating, but I added another 7 lbs ice. Throughout the test, the temp of the testthermometer varied between 34 and 39 F., depending on how direct its contact was with ice or water.I concluded that the cooler kept food at the lowest temp when there was a mixture of water and ice forit to make contact with.I like the cooler and am fully satisfied with it so far.

Solid Performer for Price
I was looking for the benefits of roto-molded cooler without the super-high-price and this fit the bill. It's rugged, well-constructed, and kept ice throughout a long weekend. What's not to love. Can't speak to longer stints but for my purposed, it's worked well!

Great cooler
Well made, works just as well as coolers that cost way more. Bought two of these now in different sizes and both hold ice for days out camping. Even in hot weather ice lasted for three days.

Nice
Love this cooler! Found it cheaper at Wal Mart, but the shipping would take too long. So I spent the extra $10 or $15 on Amazon for quick arrival, and it showed up in a Wal Mart box! Good cooler though
