Size:12 Pots | Style:Hydro System Complete The Ebb & Gro (includes 12 planters and is expandable to 48+) is the most versatile ebb & flow system on the market. With many growers going from large numbers of small plants to fewer, larger ones, the Ebb & Gro fits the bill It is a simple system that uses 2 pumps and gravity to flood and drain the planters about 3 or 4 times per day. The Ebb & Gro system is a multi-pot hydroponics system that uses two 2 gallon buckets and clay pebbles as a growing medium. The two buckets are nested one on top of the other, the top bucket holds the clay pebbles and the lower bucket catches and holds the nutrient water. The lower buckets have a 1⁄2" tubing line connected to the bottom and links the 2 gallon "modules" to the controller bucket. The top bucket has a series of holes punched through the bottom, which allows the water to percolate up through the holes when filling or drain back down when in the drain cycle. When the systems "fills", water is pumped from the 55-gallon reservoir into the controller bucket. The 3-1⁄2 gallon controller bucket has several float switches installed, which keeps the water at the proper levels during the filling and draining cycles.

Arrived with a Broken pump, but once fixed works great!
I like it, I already have one. The newer version works great and they seemed to fix the drain pump issue so it does not click on and off all the time. My issue is one of the pumps that came with this kit was broke out of the box. I used my older pump from my other system and have no issues. I need to find out if they will replace the pump, but there is no way to contact the seller??

Technically it works, but just barely
Functionally I suppose it gets the job done, but I have a number of complaints:Buckets leave a large amount of standing water (maybe about 2 inches) at the bottom at all times. This makes cleaning the system an enormous pain becuase you can't really drain it, so water goes everywhere. This water will also be much warmer because of where it is, so algae growth can be a concern if you don't cover your medium and there is any light getting to the water.Instructions were not super specific like you would want something like this to be.My biggest complaint is the flow switches. During the drain cycle, the water level in the control bucket would get low enough for the float switch to shut the pump off... the water in the drain line would then siphon back into the control bucket (raising the water level)... and then it would kick back on. Then it would try to drain it again, never shutting off. I had to play with the bucket heights, angle of the switch (unscrewed it and screwed it back in slightly rotated) and propping up one side of the control bucket to get it to work, and even then it wasn't the best. For the cost of a 50 gallon drum, a control bucket you can buy elsewhere, and some very outdated buckets that don't drain properly, this was a huge waste of money.

4 out of 5
It's an alright system. They should include extra fittings so you can set up different than the way they have lined up. I had to go get a few extra fittings because I wanted 2 rows of 6. The fittings and hose are good quality and no leaks. I'm glad I ran a trial period just to make sure there was no system issues. My controller bucket ended up going faulty after the first day and so did the pumps. Make sure you watch out for this or you can have a flooded room pretty quick. Otherwise everything seems to quality. Amazon is all over my issue and are making it right like they always do. Love The product and love knowing that if theres any issue that it's easily corrected with the simplicity of Amazon. In general I would be more than happy to repeat the purchase. After it's all said and done order a controller bucket kit, float kit, 5gal buckets, pvc and look up under current rdwc. You can build a bigger better yielding system for around the same cost as this.

Not a bad product I just got a defective one or???
Pros works is supposed to be 6 units, I got 8 units ? :$ only making a 4 total of units and they are not leak proof as the hose is not the right size and there is to many T and grombits but not enough buckets ? :$Cons very small not 5gallon or even 3.5 gallon only 1.5-2 gallon pots (no tops or way to purchase net tops for this size to my knowledge to add aeroponics to it ) and as of right now there is no way currently to buy the resivour or starter kit so this add on is only for people who have the original / need replacements it is not I repeat not a starter hydroponic kit! and they are not 5 gal I repeat not 5 gal buckets! As well as it leaks... (mine did any ways) returning thanks any ways sorry again wish it worked out :(
