Quality Product; I bought one for every plant in my home
I love this product so much that I immediately bought one for each of my potted plants. I researched soil meters for a week and this was the most highly recommended one (and slightly cheaper than the same item at Walmart). It's especially helpful for beginners and holds lots of information in one place. The monitor itself is sturdy, comes with simple instructions, and takes less than 5 minutes to set up. You can easily use one meter to monitor multiple plants to save money. I think the moisture and fertility levels may be slightly off, but only by an insignificant amount. The app is easy to use and read, even if you have multiple meters. You can take pictures of the plant and rename each meter, so it's easier to distinguish which readings go to which plant. Their database has a wide variety of plants and comes with suggestions for care. The app reads and tracks sunlight, temperature, humidity, and moisture levels. And it includes a growth diary for you to take pictures of your plant to visually see its progress!I'd recommend downloading the app and searching their database for your specific plant before purchasing. It's called "Flower Care" in the Google Play store, and has a green and white icon of a smiling monitor.

Helped me save a plant
One of my plants was not doing well so I added this monitor which showed me that the water and nutrient levels were falling faster than expected. After adjusting the water and fertilizer schedule based on this monitor, the plan is doing much better. My only gripe is that it only works over BT, not WiFi so it's not possible to check things like light levels while out of the house. Otherwise it's a great product so far.

Piece of junk
Was a little taken back by the build quality and instructions to use force to pry open the device for initial use. But was pleasantly surprised when I got it hooked up. It seemed to have pretty interesting metrics and a reasonably nice UI for the accompanying app.Unfortunately it worked once for about 15 minutes, then started giving me cryptic errors every 5 seconds or so in the app after that. Was completely unable to sync after initial setup.Returning this as defective. I don’t think I got a bad unit specifically either, as I searched for support and saw dozens of posts about others having the same issue, either immediately like me or after a few weeks. This is unfortunately a piece of junk and I don’t recommend anyone buy it, even though it is a great idea. I wish it worked...

Fantastic value, easy to use software, better than any other device I've tried.
This device goes into your plants soil and tracks temp, fertility, moisture, and light. It does so reliably and accurately. It also archives the data and displays it by day, week, month or year in the phone app.I have used a few other devices that are 4x as expensive and only offered humidity and temp. I am honestly shocked that this is only $15 (at the time of purchase). Honestly though, I had one for a week and immediately knew I wanted two more for the other rooms in my house. I use it just one per plant and it gives me a general idea of the ambient light in the room.Technically you only need one to get an idea of your home's micro climates, but if you have 2 or 3 you can get a solid idea/archival data of each room in the house over the course of a month.I highly recommend it and literally have been telling my friends about it. I am not saying that for this review, I legit have showed the phone app to friends to geek out about its ability to determine the lux of my grow lamps vs direct sun window plants.

Great idea but not very helpful
I am rubbish with houseplants but bought two I really want to keep alive. I hoped this device would help, but it hasn’t been as useful as I thought. The gadget itself is quite nice looking and unobtrusive. I was able to install the app and one of the two devices I bought pretty easily. The other device I had to troubleshoot a bit. The biggest issue is the reliance on Bluetooth instead of wifi. This means that I need to check the app every day standing close by the plant for the app to connect to the device to check fertilizer levels. The devices don’t always connect. I’ve had to remove, wipe off, and reinstall the batteries a couple of times. I was hoping the app would send alerts when the plants need attention, but it doesn’t work that way. I still use the devices and check them from time to time, but I switched to the Planta App, which created a schedule of watering and fertilizing for me and sends alerts and troubleshooting advice.

Doesn't work for Cannabis, got wet and stopped working
I bought this to monitor a cannabis plant I have growing in a bucket. Unfortunately when you're setting up the device it asks you to pick a plant, and if your plant isn't in the library of plants you have to pick one similar to yours. I couldn't find cannabis or anything like cannabis. I picked a plant and tried to customize the plant settings to be what I would expect my cannabis plant to require and started monitoring. First problem is the leads are too short. It says my pot is dry, even though my regular moisture meter says I'm perfectly moist. So If I followed this plan monitor's advice (it gives you advice in the app), my plants would be too wet. Also, it stopped working about two weeks after I bought it. I'm assuming I got it wet and it's my fault, but I would assume a device designed to monitor a plant could stand a plash of water now and again. I guess I was wrong. I wouldn't buy this product again. Also, the app was very basic and offered no real features.
