Very nice. Would be 5 stars but for the zippers
There's a lot to like here, with only a couple things to nitpick. I'd rate it 5 if the zippers were better, but more on that later. The gun compartment has a fairly sturdy plastic "cage" that is covered in a felt like material; the top of it also doubles as the floor support of the top pouch, which means you can easily put heavy ammo there without issue. Because I live in a ridiculous nanny city- I have to have both my gun and ammo in a CA DOJ listed lockbox, as soft side of the backpack doesn't satisfy city ordinances, even though the zippers lock. Luckily, the fairly inexpensive Hornady SnapSafe (size Large) fits *perfectly* in the upper compartment with room to spare on top of it for my Peltor Tactical muffs plus goggles and a cap, and the X-Large SnapSafe slides easily in the gun compartment. The front flap covers the little compartments which hold miscellaneous stuff like extra foam ear plugs, my snap caps, sunglasses, small pistol cleaning kit, pens/marker/notebook, cellphone if you want (i have the large iPhone 8 Plus and it fits easily). An unexpected plus was the rain cover that flips out of a hidden pocket on the back- making quick work of covering in unexpected weather, but it's stitched in so you won't lose it while it hang dries. The straps are OK comfortable- not great but not horrible. I'm a big fan of the chest strap, and theres a high and low spot on the shoulder straps to adjust for your build (side note, the chest strap is a nice one- it's got a stretchy piece behind the full strap, to make it snug but with give, while always staying secure.) The straps are all stitched well with extra stitching where you would want. The shoulder straps are comfortable, but it's not like I'm going hiking with this thing- with my gear (and those stupid SnapSafes) it's already 17lbs, without the weight of guns/ammo wich can easily add another 10lbs. That's heavy! The generous back pads help here. There's a top handle that's reinforced, which is good because you really need to carry it by that and not the shoulder straps; that's one con, the shoulder strap attachment point at the top is a little lacking, IMHO, and might tear over time if you continually pick up a heavily laden pack by typical "one strap grab" method instead of using the handle on top. Another nice little feature is the rubber feet on the bottom. There's also a belly strap, but I took that off as I can't see wearing this as a backpack on a long enough trek to make that helpful. The negatives- mainly the zippers. They are plastic and too small for a pack that gets laden with real heavy stuff. The side pouch zipper is particularly bad with tries to pass over the corners. They don't slide as easily as zippers on high end packs (like my Tumi backpack, but to be fair that's several hundred dollars, and this was 90 out the door.) But still, I'd pay more for a pack with upgraded zippers, as they are often the fail point, after poor stitching. Since this had decent stitches, I'm expecting the eventual failure point to be these silly zippers. One other issues is the front pouch is a little shallow, but with thoughtful packing I still got everything in the pouches plus some spare mags, a cleaning kit, and Uplula loader. All in all, I'm happy with this. Very good value for the money, just don't expect champagne taste on a beer budget.

Well designed and well made range bag
This bag is just as the seller pictured on the web. It apparently is a well though out design. I love that just about all the compartments has couple little plastic loop holes which you could use a small combo lock to satisfy my DOJ requirement on transporting my guns; this include the three small handgun bags. It has padded shoulder straps and a waist strap just like a hiking backpack, even a chest strap to keep the two shoulder straps from slipping. The waist strap is little smaller than my hiking backpack, but I guess this is just a range pack and not for using on a half day hike, so it doesn't matter. Three small gun bags are not very thick but durable enough so guns are not going banging on each other; they fit my most handgun but will not fit an eight-inch revolver, but I guess I could throw a n eight-inch revolver in the gun compartment without the small bag and it will work. This is not a lightweight bag, the materials seem to be high quality, zipper seems strong and tight and the small plastic locking loops are very strong plastic. I pulled the padding open and found the compartment separator seem to be made out of some kind of black plastic, it seem sturdy but I would not sit on it as I am over 200 pounds and likely will crack it. The inside separator padding are "locked" in place by using straps of Velcro so if it got loose after a prolonged use, it can be re-adjusted; I guess it is a good feature, save manufacture time and not bad to use. I plan to use it as a range bag as it was designed, nothing like using it on a hunting trip backpack, so by the look and feel of quality, it should last a while. My initial overall impression is very good to excellent and should fit most people's need.

Nice design and overall dimensions, but falls short in some places
I chose this 19L over the 28L model because I felt the larger one was a bit too large. This one comes up a bit short in some areas. It would have been nice if the pouches came with one or two magazine straps in each of them; It doesn’t need to have as many as the 28L, but At least 1 would of been nice. All of the smaller flapped pockets in the front compartment was just a little smaller than I hoped, as all my gear was slightly larger than the intended flapped pockets were meant for. Similarly with the top compartment; with a cleaning kit, one set of ear muffs, And about 200 rounds of 9mm and 150 .40cal, it was to its limit. I would also have preferred another side compartment, rather than just a molle field.Although it sounds like I am not satisfied with my purchase, it is an excellent pistol range bag otherwise. The construction feels durable and strong. The lockable zippers on every large compartment, as well as each pouch, is a plus. The grey is also a nice color, and the padding against your pack also feels nice and comfortable. Luckily, the pouches were just large enough to fit a compensated full sized striker fire pistol. If you have a full sized 1911 or 2011, these pouches are likely too small for it, so go with the 28L one. If the bag was closer to 22L, and addressed the slightly small issues I mentioned above, this bag would have been near perfect for my purposes.
