Q: I want to use this for surveillance of a fenceline beinb vandalized at night. Will this one work for that purpose?

I would set it to take video. It comes out better then just a picture, but yes this would work. If it's the no-glo version there will be no red light that comes on. If it is the low-glo version the red light will come on & the vandals will see that & take the camera too. You could use a ladder & put it up higher & angle it down also.

Q: Does this capture HD (1080p) video? The description says "HD video (1920x1080 pixels)". I thought the Bushnell NatureView captures 1080p and this 720p

I have done this with success. Be sure to to mount the extra IR light out of direct sight or it blows out the whole area. Hide it behind something or have it face away from the camera and makes for a good fill light where it pointed.
