Excellent OE replacement part.
2008 Chevy Cobalt 2.2 LS 55k milesI couldn't believe how easy it was to replace this part. Remove plastic engine cover and it's on the back of the engine on the passenger side, right on top where you can actually get at it !! Just remove the electrical connector (mine was filled with water), the 3 larger bolts (12mm I think, maybe 13) pull and twist to disconnect from air hose and there it is in your hand. TIME SAVING TIP: I learned this the hard way of course. DO NOT remove the 3 smaller bolts: 2 that connect the air pipe flange to the manifold and the 3rd is on top of the bracket between the 2 larger ones as they hold a "spacer block" that will come off with the unit and you can remove it on your work bench. You'll understand when you see it.Just transfer the "spacer" to the new unit, you should probably use new gaskets (2) but I got lucky and didn't need them and re-install. Use dielectric grease on the electrical connector & anti-seize on the bolt threads. Don't know for the life of me why 1 bolt was included with the new unit. Amazon got the part to me quickly & I couldn't be happier with their friendly service. From now on when I need an automotive part I check here before the usual auto jobbers.

got water in air pump? Secondary air shut off valve is the likely source.
our 2006 Cobalt had a check engine light on and the code was a dtc p0411,an AIR system fault.when I began the inspection the pump was not operational(it had been freezing out for days)when I removed the pump water poured out of the hose connections. At first I wondered how did this happen never drove through any floods,I just could not understand how it had happened.Well I installed a new air pump that I bought from amazon.com I tested it for operation and it was working like a charm.Several days later the check engine light was back on again! You guessed it,P0411,okay so why?Because the shut off valve was letting water vapor from the exhaust pass the shut off valve and condensing and accumulating in the air pump.Fortunately by cleaning out the air pump I had saved it.If you are having this condition(problem)change your shut off valve and clean out or replace the air pump.Since I had done just that.everything has been okay.So where did i buy my parts from?amazon.com that's where I found the best price!!I received the right parts in perfect condition. The shipping was fast! and free too!Thank you, amazon.com

Great product but need other things too to complete the job
Great product and relatively easy to install with right tools and some wd40 (you may need to look at videos to remove electrical connection and inlet hose from the valve) but you would need both recommended gaskets (BOTH). As you try to unscrew the three bolts on outlet it would also loosen the casting it’s attached to and may damage BOTH gaskets; one connecting the valve and casting and the one connecting the casting to the engine block hence the need for both gaskets. Also, it is best to use some dielectric grease for electrical connection and some thread anti-seize for the bolts.Side note: if the valve had been bad —stuck open— allowing moisture to collect in the secondary air pump; it probably has gone bad too and might need to be replaced too (little tricky) along with 40A fuse in the fuse box

Great part! Works!
Just like the last person, I also have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt that this went into. I had an error code. I think the code was P2431. When I looked it up it was a "Secondary injection check valve" error. The dealer here wanted $90 to do diagnostics, so I refused that. I forgot to buy the gasket online, so I just went to the dealer for it. When I was there, out of curiosity, I asked how much this part would cost from them. I think they said $263. So, I saved a lot of money. I have no idea what they would have charged for labor either. If I had had them do it, I know the cost would have been exorbitantly high. The valve took me maybe 15 minutes to replace. I used my code scanner to clear the code once I was done. I think it's been about a month, and it hasn't come back on, so I know that was the issue.

easy and inexpensive
I bought this for my 2006 Chevy Cobalt. It was needed due to a error code for secondary air flow issue. I believe the code was PO-0111 or something similar. The dealer charged me $100.00 to diagnose this since Auto Zone could not do anymore than give me the code. This was a waste of money, they wanted $480.00 to fix it. I told them no and asked for the part#. Amazon sold me this item for $150.00 less than the dealer and it took 10 minutes to put it in (the dealer number was different but this one was shown as cross reference). On top of that the dealer wanted $150.00 for the labor. This is one of the easiest fixes that you could want to do. Once you put this new component in you will need to drive the car 3x to reset the dash engine light. Good luck and don't listen to the dealers!

Worked great in my 2008 Cobalt
Works great and half the price from the dealer. Only issue was the two different gaskets I needed to replace everything. I bought two 219-600 but only 1 was needed. The other port is of a different size and I couldn't find the part number anywhere. I brought it to Napa and they were able to find what I needed! If you are careful you could probably reuse the old gaskets but I was already too far into the process of cleaning them off that they were too far gone.

Do it right with AC/Delco the first time
Go with the AC/Delco part. I first bought the Amazon Check Valve part and ended up chasing the Check Engine Light for another 6 months for a faulty part!!!!
