Yankee Candle Medium Jar Candle, Mountain Lodge

this candle eliminated any remaining need for real men in my life. if you are any kind of man but you don't smell like this candle, i'm not interested. unsure how a candle can be so relaxing and exciting at the same time but i highly recommend this smell to everyone who likes hearth fires, frasier firs, Chris Evans, flannel blankets, soft dirt, hiking, that one shady part of the forest that feels extra peaceful, Chris Pratt, afternoon sunlight, cuddling in the winter, cuddling in the summer, Chris Hemsworth, freshly chopped wood, crunchy leaves, napping outside.

This candle smells like I woke up to the feeling of a broad-shouldered man in a worn white long-sleeved henley gently draping a second blanket over my still sleep-soft body before crawling into bed with me only to gather me in his arms while I drift back off to sleep to the sounds of him softly calling out to our old but loyal husky-retriever mix. Men should be required by law to smell like this candle. Please buy this candle.5 stars.

I ordered this half as a joke because I saw a really dramatic post on tumblr singing about how this smells like the perfect man. I was not prepared. The day I got it I went around to all three of my roommates telling them to smell this. The first thing one of them said was "Smells like man". I was literally walking around my room just sniffing this candle. I am never, ever setting a match to it.Anyway, nice woodsy pine scent, and you'll never need a boyfriend again.

Bought this as a joke for my daughter after reading the following tumbler post:" Yes, the Yankee Candle Company has just eliminated the need for men. This medium tumbler Mountain Lodge candle jar is now your boyfriend. The Yankee Candle Company has effectively replaced the need for contact with the male half of our species with a compact and clean-burning candle in a jar."It does smell really good...clean, woodsy, "lumberjacky"... I think it may be my new son-in-law...

I ignored the bad reviews and bought it because I laughed so hard at the funny ones plus I have always had a good experience with Yanky Candle but this candle really does not have much fragrance at all. The slight bit you can smell if you’re hovering over it is nice but I’m not about to burn off my eyebrows for it.

I bought a bunch of candles at the same time a few weeks ago and this was by far my favorite! The smell is nice and fresh, and the scent carries throughout the apartment, but its not overwhelming or "artificial" smelling. I'm a cat owner and this candle covered all pet related smells, as well as my trash, old food, etc - it covered up every smell and left my apartment smelling delicious :D. I typically like floral smells but this is more like... the fresh smell that you smell right after it rains, with a little sweetness. The smell is difficult to describe, but trust me, this candle is worth the price! The best thing about it is that the candle itself lasts a while and the scent is the perfect strength (not subtle at all, but not overwhelming).

NOT the Patchouli that Yankee Candle produced in the past....disappointed. I have a small Yankee candle jar candle with a little wax left in it and the new one is not even close to the other. I bought another one from a Patchouli specialty shop and am even more disappointed in it...no fragrance at all. I will have to "smell it in person" before I buy another. Very sad, because Patchouli is my favorite.....wasted a lot of money trying to find what I want.

After decades of buying Yankee Candles I have noticed a steady decline in scent. Now I have 4 large jars in one room. They have all been burning for two hours, and when I go into the room, I can't detect ANY SCENT AT ALL! I realized recently a corporation purchased Yankee Candles, from the original owner, and he died. Again, I see the results of what happens when a greedy corporation buys anything good. They ruin it, and perhaps cut back or use a cheaper essential oil. Whatever they're doing, it's a shame. This decline has gone on for years, and I have had it! Why must corporation buy great companies and ruin what was once the best candle on the market? From now on, I will purchase candles elsewhere, from another company..Perhaps the original sons new Candle company will return to create the original great scented candles. Maybe corporations will learn, they can only short change decades long customers for so long before they ruin their investment and lose more customers for good. Shame on corporate greed ruining a once great candle company. FOUR candles and two hours in one room, and NOTHING??

No smell when burning

Smells lovely in the jar but when i burnt it it gave me a headache so gave it to my daughter who loves it, just a case of personal taste.
