Still good one year later…
This is a very good mouse for the price point. This is a good value if you don’t need the most technical features (like what one may expect of a gaming mouse for instance). If you need a basic 3 button mouse - look no further. The underbelly has lasted against a variety of surfaces and the buttons still have a positive and smooth click after much use. The design isn’t anything amazingly innovative - but this is a standard shape to accommodate most hands. I suspect this mouse is comfortable for kids and adults alike to use. The mouse interface is smooth and responsive across both Windows and MacOS.The best feature of this mouse is its lengthy cord. This mouse can make it across the desk with ease if needed. I have used it with a USB extender as well without affair or connectivity loss.Need a mouse that isn’t overthought? Buy this one.

Belkin vs Kensignton
Budget mouse comparison.I purchased two wired mice. This Belkin model F5M010qBLK and the Kensington model K72110US. I paid $8 for the Belkin and $6.30 for the Kensington (used). After using both mice for a couple of days, I have a clear preference for the Belkin.I think the Belkin has a more attractive design with clear divisions between the left button, right button and the scroll wheel. It also has more variety in surface textures.I think the Belkin feels better. I hold the mouse with my thumb and the fourth finger of my right hand. On the Belkin the surface where I hold the mouse is curved, (but nearly vertical) textured plastic. On the Kensington the surface is glossy plastic and not as vertical and if I lower my grip on the Kensington I am touching the seam between the top and bottom sections. For my gripping style the Belkin is more comfortable. The Belkin feels more substantial. It weighs about 10 grams more than the Kensington K72110US and has a larger diameter cord.As far as clicking, neither mouse is silent. They have slightly different sounds. The Belkin has a higher pitched “tick”” and the Kensington a lower pitched tock”. The Kensington is a little quieter. On the Kensington there is not a button but the case is split; on the Belkin there is a separate button. The Belkin requires a firmer push to make it click. Not as much pressure is required on the Kensington but occasionally the Kensington will make the “tock” sound even though the click is not registered by the computer.I think the Belkin scroll wheel looks nicer but the Kensington scroll wheel feels and sounds better. Similar to the clicking the Kensington has a lower pitch and is quieter than the Belkin.I am not able to comment on durability, but for now, based on feel, appearance and limited use, I prefer the Belkin and would purchase it again. 5 stars based on initial impressions and the $8 price.

Dell Hell
Some likes and dislikes.I have no problems with this mouse.DislikesThe left, right and scroll buttons click loudly. The USB cable is a tad bit short 5 ft. Compared with my Dell or Logitech mice had more than enough cable.LikesOperates smoothly like any other mouse on market.Works on remote setups like point to point.Works well with Trend-net KVM switches.I had way too many Dell mice and key boards on non Dell computers. I was having so many problems with controlling my computers with a KVM switch. I still have Dell mixed in with other brands. And even the Dells were having problems. I tried new Dell Keyboards and mice still no fix. So I tried other brand mice like this one and keyboards. Everything right now is working better than before. My only test will be how long will it last compared to the more expensive brands.Just a side note:I am slowly moving away from Trend-Net switches because remote control systems do not play well. What can you do with remote control? if you have lets say 5 PC and 5 Macs in your first office with a KVM switch. This setup could be your home office or business outside of your home. You are getting tired of all of the noise and heat from your computers. You can buy a Trend-Net KVM extender like this one TRENDnet 1080P KVM Console Extension Kit up to 100 Meters (328 ft.), TK-EX4 Do know their is a lot of options for KVM extenders just do your home work. All you have to do is set the transmitter in your central office and one in your remote office like a den or living room. It is one way to watch YouTube or any other web content on your Big HD TV.

Great mouse at a great price
Bought one of these about 7 years ago, and it still works great. Just bought another to replace my wife's old mouse.

adequate for purpose
computer mice have been around for 30 years or longer....this belkin unit works fine and is fit for purpose...i took off two stars because it is irritatingly loud in some, not all, click clicking because the little plastic shell is at times serving as a resonance chamber for the overloud click switch within unless you hold it in certain ways..... it all works fine but this is sometimes the loudest and most noisily distracting mouse i've ever owned, and i have to assume its the cheapest made with the cheapest materials.........mice ought to click away quietly at all times and they should never be the loudest thing in the room

I really like it
This mouse has been really great. It feels nice under my hand. It’s the perfect size (last mouse was compact and I did NOT like that!) and it looks sleek. Would never know I paid $9! Love it!
