iceQ 32 Litre Electric Cool Box - Blue (240V AC & 12V DC)

Much to like and nothing to dislike.I liked that:It was well packaged. Its built sturdily. Its a good size and is stable.We used it for our family holidays and drove from North London to Spain over 2 very hot days in July. Didnt want to stop much nor did we want to pay the high prices for the rubbish food you get at service stations in the UK and France.The Mrs packed bread, butter, ham, coleslaw and other fillings into it with drinks and trifles and they stayed cold for the whole journey and was enough food/snacks/drinks to feed a family of 5 (including 3 hungry teenagers).Love the dual car socket power and mains power which work very well.Unit is not noisy at all. On mains power the fan hums quietly in the background. On car power (in the rear of the SUV) we didn't hear it at all even without the radio on.Great. Now using for picnics at the park and even for storing the cold stuff when shopping.Only thing that could improve this product is a built in power pack that gives a reserve of a couple of hours that hopefully doesn't add too much to the weight.Its been a month and its still working with no signs of fatigue so I don't feel like i'm tempting fate giving it 5 stars.

Bought this as a sceptical parent. However, my concerns were quickly dispelled as soon as it arrived. The first thing to note it felt good and sturdy. The electrical leads are cleverly hidden in the lid and are long enough to plug in at home, as well as reaching a 12v outlet in the car. Gave the box a trial run at home before the first car journey. On mains power it chilled down a case of beer in just over 2 hours from shop temperature to a pleasant chilled beer. The first real test was a day trip to Norfolk. Filled the box with a packed lunch and drinks, plugged it into the 12v outlet and drove the 2 hours to Norfolk. Arrived to cold sandwich’s and coke. Very impressed. My only concern is the drain on the car battery. I have not let the cool box run on 12v with the car engine off, so I do not know whether it would result in a flat battery. I’ve not tested the heat function, but overall I am very impressed.

Brilliant cool box kept everything really cold while travelling to France and then when in France cooled everything down quickly. The two cool settings were handy. Good size. Worked very well and very quiet. Well worth ever penny.

I travel away for work a lot and like to have my own food so i'm not always eating take aways or pub food. This does the job great and keeps things nice and cool. I'm happy with it. I didnt find it noisy being plugged in all night and i'm a very light sleeper. Good buy

The humming is extremely annoying. If you are sleeping in the same room then I wouldn't recommend. It makes as much noise as an electric fan. It's pretty sturdy, easy to clean and worth the money if your using it on a regular basis, otherwise it takes up space.

This was bought as urgent replacement for faulty fridge in motorhome.Kept food well chilled. With hindsight, I should have used more boxes or dividers. It was a pain taking everything out to access the bottom layer.Only complaint- cover to plug storage was broken. Should have returned it but out of time. Only a cosmetic issue. Did not affect operation.

Arrived on time in manufacturers box. Needed something to keep chilled foods/drinks chilled whilst I stayed at a hotel. Did a bit of searching and came up with this cool box that size-wise was just right, and appears to be really well built. Only minor problem I encountered was getting into it, the carry handle needs to be rolled over to the front of the box, and the lid will then lift. Instructions are inside. Really easy to operate and relatively quiet when on 'max', on which it's spent most of it's time running. Works really well, quite surprising that it keeps cooked meat (turkey) and pre-packed meats chilled quite easily, and drinks chill very nicely. No discernible difference when compared to a full size fridge. Will run off mains supply and also off a cigarette lighter socket in a car. Really pleased with it and would buy another without hesitation.

Brilliant for taking chilled food from home to our static caravan. Plugs into cigarette lighter socket. Great for picnics, too.
