Hands-down the best electric drum in the market
This is the most realistic electric drum I have ever tried. I had thought about getting one but the price was very high on most during these last years and I have had a good experience with Alesis’ electric keyboards so I figured I’d try it. It takes a little time to build but it is a complex System that sounds simply amazing and feels exactly like drums. My kids are now interested in music and I have a great therapy to let go of the stress during this pandemic of covid. I had an issue with one tom and their customer service immediately replaced it which makes me feel attended and cared for after spending a nice amount on very high-end equipment. This is a gem of a product congratulations And thank you for caring about my experience afterwards.

Support won't answer your calls
I've called them 4 times, sat on hold for over 1/2 hour each time without ever getting to talk to someone. All 4 times, after 1/2 hour, they picked up and immediately hung up without saying a single word. They were just clearing their lines because it was easier than answering the phone. The irony is that their support hold music warns you not to hang up and call back because if you do your wait time will be longer. Then they hang up on you and make you call back. LOL it'd be hilarious if it wasn't my time they were wasting. So just know before you buy one that you better not have any questions or problems or you'll never get them resolved. Also, their support is only open 4 days a week, (Mon-Thurs) so you better carve some significant time out of your workday to sit on hold and get hung up on.**UPDATE** I called a fifth time and this time after only 20 min on hold, someone picked up and explained that they were very busy and would call me back if I'd only give them my name and number. I happily agreed. Would you like to take a guess on whether they called me back? It's been a week now... but nope. Your instincts were correct. Of course they didn't call me back. I guess I'll email them now, despite the fact that we know it's the best way to make a 10 min conversation take 10 days... but if that's the only way they'll respond, I'll give it a go. I'll update again when I see how that goes.

Module did not turn on but easy fix
For the price this is a great drum set to get. It’s not for starters but a great drum. The looks are amazing and the sound is great. I did have a little hiccup with the module not turning on out of the box, if you have this problem the easiest fix is to take the module apart and make sure the power wires are connected to the top mother board. But other that I love the kit!!!!!

It's a good electronic kit but she definitely has her short comings
I live in a apartment so playing my acoustics presents a problem as far as noise so I bought this kit because I thought they sounded good enough to fill my needs , however with that being said there's a couple of things that I feel Alesis needs to improve. 1. the response of the sensors in the high hats and I also feel that the kick drum could use more oompff.. When we were in rehearsal the whole kit was being mic'ed and sent through the board including the Kick drum and even with doing this it did improve a little but It could use more thickness and explosiveness for my liking.

The parts that work are fantastic
I was a professional drummer, but I live in an apartment complex so I did my research and picked the best bang for the buck for a nearly silent electronic drumset. Assembling was easy, all the cords are labled. It was packed correctly, with lots of protection on the inside of the box. The reason it has one star is because the ride cymbal doesn't work correctly. I've tried adjusting the sensitivity of the trigger, plugging in unused cymbal cables, switching around which cables I've plugged into which outlets, and how much time between hits for the cymbal to register a second hit. The rest of the kit works like a dream. Their flagship drum kit with the flagship "three zone ride cymbal" has something loose on the inside. I've emailed what I thought was their customer service with no response. This review is a desperate last attempt to get some attention so I can ship their ride back and have them repair or replace it, since it was broken internally out of the box.

Junk
Purchased the strike pro version of the pictured kit. Comes with an additional tom and cymbal.Little background I have played drums for 45 years now and purchased this kit as a practice kit simply because I could play at any time without driving the family and neighbors crazy. The only thing functional with this kit is the module, everything else is junk. The high hats simply do not work. I have replaced the controller and adjusted the module settings and it is still just horrible. You can plan on replacing every drum at some point since the center trigger plate cracks from a poorly designed system. Once it breaks only the rim triggers will function.I'm on my third snare drum and one mounted tom now in just over two years of lite playing. Great news is the customer service is useless and they most definitely do not care about their customers. They only sell complete drums and no replacement parts. Why buy another drum or cymbal when they are faulty to begin with. Before ordering this kit do yourself a favor, go online and read about all of the problems people have had and the fact that Alesiis has made no attempt what so ever to correct the problems or make things right with existing customers.

Ride cymbal doesn't trigger at all
Arrived April 25th and the ride cymbal didn't work. Contacted Alesis and they said I would receive a replacement with 5 to 7 business days.9 business days later I have not received my ride cymbal replacement. I contacted Alesis again and now I'm being told they are on backorder until late May. This means I won't have a replacement before the 30 day return policy on this kit is up.

Disappointing
Horrible product. This lasted 3 days before my pedal went through the mesh head. I do not play hard. Two months later, the internal speaker in the snare broke. From day one the hi hat was faulty and “only needs a software update”, according to Alesis. Do not waste your time and money. Stick with Roland.

Sturdy, high quality drum set with amazing sound
It sounds ok straight out of the box. you may need to tweak a few things. It is a pro quality kit with individual input/output instead of a snake cable. Hihat works fine. The drum rack is super solid - hardly any vibration/movement when playing. You will have to buy drum pedal and hihat stand separately.Upgrading firmware (v1.5) has made the kit load times fast enough to become usable. There is still a latency of about 2 seconds when switching between kits. The drum module in itself is outstanding. Cymbals don't have natural swing unlike Roland kits.Bought it for my 7 year old kid. We were able to set it up for his reach easily - sliding snare a bit under the tom :) and mounting the toms closer to each other. With the reduced price now, it is a good deal.Updated: after 10 months of use. Ride cymbal suddenly stopped working. Don't know how to get support either as Alesis support doesn't seem robust. Have raised an online support ticket for in warranty repair. Fingers crossed for a reply.Update: no support. Tried multiple routes. Risky to buy it online

They fixed the shells!
A lot of reviews and videos online mention the older build of the shells, the snare in particular having some pretty serious design flaws. Namely wires tensioned ready to break and a very flimsy plate for the piezo. They have now changed them, the wires sit freely with enough slack, and the plate is now thicker and feels more substantial. The hi hat is still an issue, but ordering the replacement from Go E drum for 70 bucks is almost a no brainer and improves the pedal response immensely. All in all it was a very expensive kit for me, but I have been very happy with it so far.
