I’ve wanted one of these for a long time!
I’ve wanted a Speck SmartShell for my MacBook ever since they first came out years ago. I never got around to buying one back then, but finally bought this one on Amazon a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it. It softens the ridiculously sharp edges of the MacBook so my wrists feel better. And the whole ‘satiny’ feel I actually like better than the straight aluminum of the MacBook. But I didn’t buy this for looks, I want it for protection against scratches and bumps. I love my Mac and find myself moving around with it a lot more now that Covid is waning down. Full disclosure, though: I recently got a job working at Speck. But I actually did buy this without any discount because it was a good price on Amazon, and I needed it right away. I was an avid Mac enthusiast long before I was a Speck employee, so that is what my review is based on.

No air vents on bottom piece-not a great idea for the new Macbook!
This was a pretty color but not great if you are seeking something functional. The 15 inch Macbook Pro with Touchbar is a powerful computer, using a lot of power and often the fan runs to cool the machine down. This case contains no air vents on either the 15 or the 13 inch models, so the machine gets very hot with no ventilation. Not the hugest fan, considering there are cases offered by off brand places that are half the price as this one and air out the Macbook more efficiently.

Had to return as it does not fit
Had to return this case as it did not fit my 15 inch MacBook Pro with touch bar. The description said it would fit however the top felt like there was an air bubble in there and did not feel secure. The bottom also did not fit properly. I usually love the Speck products however this one was the worst designed case I have ever had it seemed like they were trying to fit several laptop models in one case. Would not recommend.

Good fit. Back Corner Protection for older model Macbook Pros!
Wish I could get this style for newer model of Macbook Pro. I like the Spect design that offers back corner protection. This purchase was an identical replacement, as my old Speck cover developed a crack and back corner damage. The original cover lasted a five years, protecting a 2016 15" Macbook Pro. Much rather have the cover corners and case have damage vs. computer. :)

Easy install and fit perfectly. Installed on our second MacBook Pro mid 2017 with touchbar. Protect your laptop!

It's not clear...clear
If you're looking for a suitable case to protect your Mac, this is perfect. However, it is not the color shown in the picture. It is extremely opaque and should be specified as a matte clear. Very disappointed with the description.

Cracked in 3 Months
Bought this 3 month's ago or so and the top now has a crack going through almost half of it. Annoyed because it cost so much and now I have to find a new one.

NE VA PAS DU TOUT AVEC MON MAC 15 POUCES TEL QUE DECRIT DANS L'ANNONCE ( Bonne année, et bon modele mais une fois l'article recu..... ce n'était pas le bon!!!!) EN PLUS IL EST ROUGE ET PAS ROSE... Je suis maintenant pris avec un étuit en plastique qui me sers à rien et que je ne sais meme pas pour quel modele il va fonctionner car il est trop petit pour un 15 pouces et trop grand pour un 13 pouces loll N'IMPORTE QUOI!! N'ACHETEZ PAS LA
