Excellent Product - But Read This before you install!
I love the product. Very well built and very sturdy.Caution when hanging though, here are a few tips:1) The template did not exactly match the mounting bracket. It was off about 3/16". Before drilling, put the unit on top of the template and mark through the holes in the mounting bracket.2) If you are going into drywall, not a stud, use the toggle anchors that come with the package. Don't use the flimsy plastic anchors.3) Add stainless steel washers - especially in the bottom two holes. It needs them.

Very pleased with this product
I'm very happy with this product. I had been using a huge, stand alone, clothes drying rack in my bedroom for years and years and just finally got sick of it being a fixture in my room (my laundry room is small and has no place for a floor rack) . I never seemed to remember to take clothes off of it until I needed more space for wet clothes. The thing was ALWAYS up, loaded with clothes, and cluttering up my space. I've hung this in my laundry room, high enough to be out of the way (and mostly out of the way when expanded) but low enough to be able to reach up and hang things. It's perfect! Because it's slightly in my way when expanded AND loaded with clothes (the refrigerator door, when opened up all the way, swings into the wet clothes a little), it reminds me to empty it as soon as things dry. Then I just push it back in against the wall, where it takes up practically no space, and certainly not any space that's being used for anything else. It's sturdy, and even though it's only hung on sheet rock (with anchors) it seems to be very solid. It can be pulled out a lot or just a little, depending on the amount of clothes needing to be hung. Now that I have a drying rack conveniently IN my laundry room, I tend to stay on top of those loads that have a lot of 'hang to dry' items, instead of letting them pile up. Hanging the actual rack up was a bit of a challenge, it would be much easier with two people. The only thing that could be improved was the template included to help place holes on the wall was rolled up, and it kept wanting to re-roll itself, so I kept fighting with it to keep it flat against the wall. I tried to use tape, but the tape just came off the wall. Not sure why the paper needed to be rolled up, I mean, if the box is long enough for the product, it would be long enough for the template.

Oversized rack for undersized laundry room but made it work
This is a really high quality product, well worth the money ($60 when I bought it). It is large, easily holding a lot in terms of both quantity and weight. Since my laundry room is tiny, we inverted the rack and installed it above a doorway, using a step stool (also from Amazon!) to access it -- see photos. My husband, as always, ignored the template and directions yet easily installed it (without disassembling it) in less than 15 minutes including the time it took to grab some extra toggle bolts for security. One nice thing about installing over a doorway was that the studs were placed precisely right, which is hit-or-miss elsewhere in this 50 year old house.

Fantastic
Just love it! Very well made considering the reasonable price. Installed without much fuss. Make sure to use the appropriate wall anchors. If your mounting to drywall, I would suggest 1/4 inch by 4" toggle bolt wall anchors.

Loving it! Four years later.
A friend asked me what kind of expandable dryer I had in my laundry room today. I told her after looking at my past purchase on Amazon And realized that I have never left a review for this. I have had this up for four years and been using it almost daily since then.It is extremely sturdy and has held up beautifully without one bit of rust at all. It glides in and out as easily as day one.I can put heavier towels or even small area rugs on it. I can put my most delicate things on this without any worry about damage to the garment. We did have to do a very sturdy install, making sure we hit at least one stud, and then used good anchor bolts on the other side. It tucks away to nearly nothing when not in use. I paid about $20 less four years ago, but if I moved, I would eagerly buy another at the current price.

Definitely worth buying if you can get through the install
This a VERY sturdy rack. I bought three of them to replace the plastic Pohler racks that I’ve had for years and it a drastic improvement in terms of build. However, it is very difficult to install. The screws provided didnt fit the holes in the rack, they were too small and just went right through. Also, the directions to drill a pilot hole using 1/4" bit means that the provided screws fall right through the wall. So DONT USE THE TEMPLATE OR THE SCREWS! Use the actual rack to mark your holes. This rack can support a lot of weight so make sure your hardware is up to the task. It took my brother-in-law 2 hours in total to hang two of the racks because of the template/screw mistakes and because he had to go find proper screws.Beyond the actual build of the rack, it does provide plenty of drying space. Be aware that while you are able to use regular clothespins, it is a very tight fit, and I expect that the clothespins (which are of a very good quality) may not last very long.

Good but maybe breakable if not careful
Good product but you need to be careful with it. Close it evenly as I think you could break it if your rough. Seem fine but not overly strong

Just what I needed for the pool!
I needed a good quality towel rack to mount on my fence near the pool. This one is great! It’s stainless steel so it won’t rust and has a smooth operation. It also holds a a lot of towels without bending and when not needed pushes fairly flat against the fence. To mount it it is helpful to reinforce the fence Lara slats or screw one ed into a post. My fence is the regular wood colour and the unit is a brushed aluminum colour which is fine but I wish it came in a different colour so it blended better,Overall though a great purchase

Decent quality product works as advertised.
Very pleased with this product. Used it all last winter, probably saved a dozen or more dryer loads. Pulls out easily, folds-up nicely out of the way. Not the easiest to install as the brackets are not on 16” centres. I bought a piece of pine and stained it. I put several 65 pound drywall anchors into the wall to hold the board and one of the clothes rack brackets lined-up through pre-drilled holes. The other bracket screwed directly into a wall stud.
