This is a good product
I live on an island in a Florida swamp and during the summer this thing fills up with mosquitoes each night. I bought this to replace the last one that I bought 5-years ago that had stopped working. These things kill a lot of bugs and insects and provide nice blue light. You can get these with the new style fins that claim to be self cleaning, but they don't seem to work as well as this model. I just beat on the housing and knock the mosquitoes loose when it clogs up.Try to hang it away from buildings and trees so frogs wont jump into the grille. It makes a great show, but frogs eat their weight in bugs each night, so it is counterproductive to let them get killed.

Update: I Done Modifications to this Stinger Bug Zapper
It worked for maybe a day or so and then a loud smoking "POP" and the lights went out. The charged grid still works but not the lights. After not getting any response from the company claiming there was a power surge that blew out the zapper and that voids the warranty. Apparently I was also suppose to use a surge protector with this unit. I never had to do that with other Stinger bug zappers I have. And those are still in use today. BUT, those are older models made in USA. This new bigger zapper is assembled in Mexico.I took the cover off and found an electromagnetic ballast fried. All the wiring burned up. So I'm attempting to rebuild the lighting myself with off the shelf starter/condensers and magnetic ballasts. In the meantime I'm getting the Flowtron 80 watt bug zapper and see how well constructed that is. I see good reviews so I'll give that unit a try.08/04/2014: I done some modifications to this Stinger bug zapper. I installed a regular Edison (medium) screw base and then the black-light Blue (party) Spring shape CFL bulb. Not sure if this kind of "blacklight" would work. Does a great job making some things glow brightly. Sure enough the bugs seem to be attracted to the light and it's killing allot of them. Doesn't give off hardly any light like other bug zappers do. It's more like a dim purplish light. But anyone wearing white or fluorescent colored clothing, accessories - they stand out brightly near this modified bug zapper with a black-light blue "party" CFL bulb.

Ordered twice and both were damaged
I ordered the zapper, it arrived and only one bulb worked. I removed the bulb which did work and plugged it into the socket other socket (where the buld was not working). The good bulb did not work in the bad socket, so I figured it was damaged. I called the Stinger Zapper Company and they said I have to call Amazon. After going through the automated service, I finally got a person. They said they would send another unit and I should return the original unit. The second unit arrived and it had the same problem. They said they would send me a return label for UPS. The label never arrived. Now I have two non-working Zappers and I'm dealing with the hassle of returns. Quite frustrating !

Blown bulb on receipt, whole thing gone in <6mo
When I first got this one bulb was already blown. continued to use it for about 6 months and both bulbs were out. Winter was here so I didn't worry about it. I put in two new bulbs today and they both blew immediately. Although there is a 3yr warranty, Amazon won't take it back for an exchange and there's no hope on the stinger site. gonna try the flowtron 80 next because it has better reviews.

Mosquito Killer!
Wanna kill some mosquitos? Bam, this is the big daddy right here! We travel with it in our RV and set it out away from our site to pull mosquitos away from our fire/picnic area. Works like a charm.

Good old fashion bug killer
This is my Fourth UV80 80 watt 1-1/2 acre bug zapper in 25 years that's like 6 years each and all the parts are the same so to fix up a broken zapper is easy, Thunderstorms are hard on everything and sometimes harder on big bug zapper. Kyle, Texas
