Great value, super long battery. Must buy oil separately. Not washable.
For context on my review - I'm a 30 something + some more baldy who has used hair trimmers to shave my own head and face for 20 years or so. The difference between brand and non-brand quality these days is so small, I decided not to follow my previous, brand purchase and to reach into the wireless age.......and I've not been disappointed. At the time of writing this review, I've owned these about 6 weeks with regular use.TLDR: - Buy oil and use it. - Do not wash in water. - Battery life is awesome. (i'm 4 head shaves and a few beard shaves in and the battery is at 84%). - Accessories clip on mechanism is super solid. - They get hot (hotter if not oiled), this is normal and, in my opinion and experience, safe. - So far very good - Recommended.Firstly, I was torn between 4 and 5 stars on this one. I'd have gone 4.5 stars if I could. The clincher is that the pack does not include blade oil which is so important in maintaining longevity. I assumed oil would be included and didn't realise there was none until I opened it up. No biggy though, I just went and bought some good quality branded oil on Amazon that will probably end it's life in the back of my great grandchildrens' under-sink cupboard. Also, if I recall correctly, the advertising indicated you could 'wash' or 'rinse'. NOT recommended. Just use the perfectly good little brush and then apply oil after every use. In my opinion, Oil = good. Water = Bad.All of the accessories are what you'd expect. The way in which the 'guide combs' (the numbered plastic things that determine hair length) attach is really solid. I've had problems with previous clipper attachments becoming loose over time. Looks like these have a very clever design that might prevent that in the long term.I don't care about aesthetics in general, but these do look great with a nice little charging dock (that I'm only going to need every 6 months!).Hope this helps.Scott

First impressions, very good!
After extensively looking at lots of other various choices out there, I settled for this for its price and apparently good quality, and also reviews on here and review sites on this particular hair clipper. And by "apparent" quality, I was not wrong, this thing feels very well made (and works superbly)!First thing is first. It arrived well packaged, and the package's contents were completely secured and wrapped well. Now, in the past, sadly some orders from Amazon have arrived with the packaged either apparently opened, or very badly damaged when they send packages using, ahem, a PARTICULAR courier, but however, this wasn't the case here.Upon opening the box, all that was included with the hair clipper was in there. The comb, guides, cleaning brush, charger ect. I noticed immediately from using my other old hair clipper that this piece of gear felt more sturdy, definitely a little heavier, but the build quality definitely feels on spot and strong. Turning it on for the first time, I pleasantly was surprised the LCD showed it was at 90% battery - so that wasn't bad, however, I didn't actually need to use it that day so I left it on charge and in about 15 minutes~ I heard a beep and the battery indicator was full. The noise was very minimal when turned on, and it felt easy to move around despite its strong build.Roll forward a few days and it came to the point where I trim my beard, and my hair slightly, but we'll talk about beard since this is what I used it for this time. Now my old clipper I usually trimmed my beard around 16mm, so it was quite longish - now the maximum* length you can have with this hair clipper is a 12mm comb guard and then you can extend the actual setting on the clipper to a max of 2mm giving you a length of 14mm at its absolute max. (*Unless you have comb guards that are longer that fit this clipper)The hair clipper itself, without the comb guards, has a range of settings from 0.8mm, 1.4mm (which is far below a "number 1") to a max of 2mm (slightly below a "number 1"). 0.8mm is the shortest you are going to ever cut your hair/beard with this, but that's pretty much no hair. The comb guards supplied come as 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, and 12mm.But using the little adjustments on the clipper itself you can extend or go to 0.8mm for the close detail of the comb guide you have selected. So say you wanted a 5mm trim, you adjust the hair clipper to 2mm, and then put on the 3mm comb guard and off you go. In saying that, there are dots between the settings of 0.8mm, 1.4mm and 2mm on the clipper itself, and they also move the clippers so they do adjust it (look at the pictures for visual detail). I'd assume the first dot is 1mm and the second dot after 1.4mm is perhaps 1.6mm but I cannot verify that. Now onto using it - if you've been using some Philips model shavers (or even other battery shavers), you'll notice that this shaver feels more professional both in weight and in build quality. It really does, it feels like it's one of them plugged-in but it's battery operated. I would estimate my beard length given I usually trim it around 16mm, was around 18-20mm on this occasion. This was the smoothest trim I ever had, and I am not exaggerating it, I really loved how using this felt and it glided through my beard hair without catching or snagging whatever you want to call it. 14mm, like I said above, is the max length you can possibly have from this hair clipper unless you have comb guides that are made for it and fit onto to give you even longer lengths which I assume you can get if you want a longer beard/hair. So it's handy that if you note down what length of hair or style you want, you will always be able to go back and do it at the exact same length you've always wanted. Oh, one more thing to note, if your beard hair is giving you a rough time, you can power this baby up and make it slice rough hair even smoother! Not joking, you can change the RPM speed! The results were a perfectly trimmed beard. I couldn't be happier, I intended to cut it a tincy bit shorter so losing 2mm wasn't that much and means I can keep it neat. How ever if you like a long beard and certainly one above 14mm, then this hair clipper won't be doing your job. Also note, like other clippers, when you take the comb guard off, and set it to its lowest 0.8mm to trim around your beard - be very careful! As for my hair, I usually go to a #2 (6mm) and keep a little hair, so I will no doubt be using it to also trim my head. I never liked my hair, so taking it off, is the best thing I can do - and once more, doing it myself, saves me a trip to the barbers and a few quid. Now given I've only started using it, and used it for around 10ish~ minutes I cannot comment on battery life, but it still had 98% left down from 100% after first use. It was also a little warm, but not what I would call hot. This is normal for this machine and even states so in the operating manual. Its weight and sturdy build do not interfere with you being able to trim, not at all. I also would like to warn potential buyers that although adverts say on here this clipper can be washed under water, the manual says completely otherwise and to NEVER WASH IT UNDER TAP WATER - use the supplied brush to brush away hairs, and apply hair clipper oil. Talking of which, you won't get hair clipper oil supplied with this so you'll need to buy some. I personally use Wahl oil and it has never caused a problem with any shaver regardless of model that I have used it on.All in all, this hair clipper is strong, well made, and very price - comes with a variety of lengths and detail settings for you to make your perfect cut.Very happy with it, thanks.(For reference, and comb guide numbers commonly heard at barbers are as follows: 3mm = number 1, 6mm = number 2, 9mm = number 3, and 12mm = number 4.)4/4/19 EDIT: Update after multiple uses.A few months in, multiple buzzcuts, beard trims, I can now fully comment on this Clipper's battery - it is by far the best battery I've ever experienced in hair clippers. I usually buzzcut my hair every week, if not every 9 days max. I've literally only had to charge this twice, and as I write this comment now it still stands at 49%.Also, I stand corrected, you can actually detach and wash the blades under water (NOT the main unit itself, just the blades). Though from experience, I'd only recommend doing this once every 3-5 full haircuts. Instead using oil really keeps the blades alive. All in all, my review still stands to what I said after the first cut with it I knew I'd bought a really quality clipper.

Very low noise and powerful hair clipper
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This hair clipper is very light, low noise and strong power. It has five adjustable blade to control the hair length, as usual the hair clipper comes with 4 guide combs (3mm,6mm,9mm and 12mm). After few minutes hair trimmed with 6mm hair guide comb, I changed it to 3mm and following by bare clipper to shaped/finish the hair. I wish it comes with pouch to keep the hair clipper set instead of keeping them in a box.

Lightweight, hassle free and looks great.
I bought this product as I am spending to much money on going to get my beard cleaned up and get a clean line so I decide to buy a pair of clippers for home use. These caught my eye as they are a decent price and totally over perform. It is lightweight and doesnt have the hassle of a cable. I havnt tested out the battery life but i claims 4 hours of use on a 2.5 hr charge. It has a great option of 3 speeds and a waterproof design. The lcd display ids very clear and provides the rpm, the power and tells you when its charging. Overall a 5* from me
