I picked up this single-pack 6" roll just to see how it would work for me. I'm usually only cooking for one or two people, so I often buy the family-/army-sized packages of things like pork/lamb chops, steaks, ground meats, etc and then repackage them into more convenient single-portion sizes that I can freeze and grab out as I need them.The pre-made pint-size bags were usually a good width for this, but often longer than necessary - so a fair bit of wasted bag material. (1/4 pound of ground beef looks positively pitiful in a pint bag. :-) I figured the 6" roll was the same width as a pint bag, and since I could cut it to length I hoped it might work better for my mini-portions. And it's worked great - I actually just went and ordered the six-pack version of these rolls.Possible downside for some is that unlike the Foodsaver-brand continuous rolls there's no white labeling area pre-printed on these Univen rolls. Personally I find freezer tape works better anyways, and often use it even with my Foodsaver rolls, so that wasn't an issue for me.

Am using to create sealed long term storage packet items [food/1st aid/etc.] for emergency disaster kits. Plan on purchasing again along with 4 inch roll.

Wooks fine with my food saver...it seems I have to move it a bit for the vacuum to start but once started they work great....I'm buying again since I just finished the first role.

I live alone, and so often buy items and freeze them in individual packages. With the roll, I can use only what I need and there is less waste of the plastic.

Worked with food saver machine! I've been looking for smaller narrower bags since the food saver ones only make down to 8 inches. This bag felt the same thickness in quality and i was able to seal and vacuum no problem.

The bags are OK, they do what they should. They're a bit thinner than the "brand name" ones, and wish they had the strip to write on like the others. I do like the smaller size though!
