Award-winning actor James Brolin ("The West Wing," "Catch Me If You Can") stars as Lt. Col. Bill Kelly, a war veteran and fearless pilot. The Marines are Kelly's whole life, but now he's questioning his choices. Kelly is angry that his elite task force, "The Sea Dragons," has been disbanded due to government cutbacks, and he's reluctant to accept a fresh assignment -- training another new group of Nugget fighter pilots. This latest intake, "The Sharpshooters," turns out to be much more complex than Kelly had assumed. They're the smartest, most driven and most competitive graduates of their Marine class. Working alongside Kelly, training the Sharpshooters, is Executive Officer Major MacArthur Lewis, Jr. (Bobby Hosea, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Heroes"). Lewis' tough, old-school exterior hides both a troubled past as well as his own determination to see all his young charges finish the program alive. Kelly and The Hornets Nest
Season 2 of James Brolin as career marine Lieutenant Colonel "Iron" Bill Kelly began nothing like season 1 hence the changes in the supporting cast. As season 1 ended, Kelly was faced with the dilemma of cutting 1 member of his Sea Dragons team. Having gotten to know his 4 lieutenants personally and as well as professionally a lot better than he had in episode 1 made his job tougher. The finale ended with him signing the order, but the viewer never saw who got the cut. The new season began with Kelly (now inexplicably call signed "Raider" instead of "Raven") having to face several changes. 1) his daughter (who he had a strained relationship with but had patched things up) had gone back to school, 2) his commanding officer (who had created the Sea Dragons) and the base doctor (who had been his love interest) had both been reassigned and 3) the entire Sea Dragons program (not just the 1 cut) had been disbanded. After thinking about calling it a career seeing no sign of making full colonel, Kelly is reassigned by new base Colonel Drayton (Marshall Teague) to teach and train a class of "Nuggets" young officers who wanted to fly F18 Hornets like he did. Assigned as his executive officer is Bobby Hosea as Major Macarthur Lewis (call sign Hammer for obvious reasons). Although the class contained several students, like before, the immediate focus was on 3 lieutenants. Kenny Johnson as Butch Barnes (call sign Burner) the Pete "Maverick" Mitchell of the class, Sandra Hess as Alexandra Jensen (call sign Ice) a Switzerland born flyer similar in attitude to Stinger last season and Michael Trucco as Tucker Henry III (call sign Spoon) a rich kid whose divorced father was a retired colonel and now successful businessman in a relationship with his young secretary Teri (Ali Landry) who finds herself falling for him. Like before the show focused on the Nuggets in class, training exercises (both on and off base) or hanging out at The Bucket, the local bar and restaurant owned and run by marine widow Kate Anderson (Barbara Niven) who was also once Kelly's love interest after her husband died. The season ended with most of the class graduating (1 woman candidate had died during an exercise in her plane) and receiving their first assignments from Lewis at Kate's but as before the scene faded as he was about to read Barnes, Jensen and Henry their assignments. For that go to Season 3. As I previously mentioned the back notes on the back of the Season 2 set accidentally mention the costars for Season 1 and vice versa.

Horrible
The first season was great, and was hoping to see it continued to season two. Totally different story and cast, somehow it was written to be more like Top Gun.

First time in my 10 year Amazon usage experience the delivered good was not as expected. Packaging and delivery speed was very good. Also from out side the DVD pack looks nice and printing quality is good. However the DVDs seems "home burned" intead of official manufactured. The many video files cannot be read either by DVD player or compuder DVD-ROM.
