11.5-Inch 12-Ounce Accent Lava Lamp with Silver Base, Red Wax/Yellow Liquid

Great lamp. I bought the red/yellow one. I was born too late for the late 60's early 70's experience but I love the music and most of the culture. This thing really does set a tone, and a pleasant one.It is a bit smaller looking than what I expected. Not a scam though, description tells the size and it is accurate. Not a problem considering the price: <14$ to my door w prime. I just remembered seeing an original that was about 2-3ft tall 8" at the base. Takes a few minutes to warm up. This is the second one I purchased the first was a gift that was so well liked I got one. Glass does get a bit warm not hot as in fire hazard hot. Just like a handling a light bulb right after turning it off and not that hot either. You know it uses heat to move the lava? And some people complain. Btw water is wet.Slick packaging in a tube with styro inserts that is compact and and efficient. Not for true lighting of course but with the lights off or a dim corner it really does look good, or even in daylight. Running pretty steady for a couple months and no issues, replacement bulbs are available, cheap, and probably needed for the size and heat output to work but if it fails I might try a different bulb if I don't get one for backup.**I discovered what might be causing some people problems, moving the lamp when hot. Was moving mine and bumped it and I saw a globule break up a bit with a few tiny ones forming. I would suggest to not move it at all when warmed up. Great purchase that is what they say at a very good price. This is a really good value, same price as other cheap regular old lamps. Makes a really good gift.## I just knocked this off the table yesterday and it withstood a 4 ft drop to the floor. I really expected disaster. The lava container is glass with a metal bottlecap sealing the end. Tough design. Glad it wasn't warmed up to scramble the globules. Rugged construction.

Not quite what we wanted. Bought another one for my older son and it is much better (Lava Lite 2124 Classic). This one is cloudy and my younger son wh has it is jealous of the other one. Not good for x-mas.

hi i purchased a lava lamp from amazon about 3 weeks back, following are the list of problems, the first one is catastrophy:1. The bulb has fused: the bulb was switched on as per instructions and fused in less than 3 hours? the packaging instructions said it was supposed to charged for that much time. (Why are you guys being cheap and sourcing this stuff from China??? it doesnt work- they have no idea about quality.!!!!!)2. the liquid is muddy: the liquid inside the lava lamp is muddy- extremely unclear and i m unable to see the lava bubbles floating inside it. (why are u guys sourcing this stuff from china??? it doesnt work- they have no idea about quality.!!!!)3. the socket has moved: the socket @ the base of the lamp has moved sideways, while this problem has been mentioned in your shipping instructions- the socket doesnt seem to move back!!!, why cant you ship it separately and ask users to assemble it????4. India friendly plugs were not sent: the charging plug which fits into the socket that was sent was made for the US only, i had to use an extension which i fortunately possess?? is there no thought given to international customers???5. it took 16 days: It took me 16 days to find about problems 1 through 4. because you guys couldnt ship it to me for 16 days?? it landed in Mumbai, India on the 10th- it took 5 days to ship it frm there, any local courier company would have done it in 1 day, the local courier company that was used didnt have a customer care number where i could call?? all local numbers of the courier company were invalid.I need to know what amazon is going to do for me now? i expect a full replacement of the product free of cost ASAP!!.thanking you,A very very dissatisfied and annoyed customer,Lava Lite 1951 11.5-inch/12 oz. Well I guess the measurement is the whole thing. I wasnt thinking when reading this so this is a small lamp. I wanted this color to go with my decor, but it is cloudy! I thought okay with shipping and I live in cold Iowa it needed time. So I set it up and I had it on all day for two days and still cloudy. That part sucks! It is to much of a hassle to return so I will deal with it. I dont understand why it wont clear up.

lamp is a bit smaller than I thought it would be, it's about half the size as a standard lava lamp. It's quite cute though, makes a good desk lamp

I was wary of buying this lava lamp because of the reviews I read, but I have no complaints. I really like the color of the lamp and I think it flows nicely. If the lava lamp does appear cloudy, really just follow the instructions given in the manual and it will work just fine

this things picture is a little deceiving , its not as big as the old ones, or as the pictures makes you think it might be... its sorta small and seems like it doesnt work good because of that , BUT , after you let this warm up for a while , it starts going good... kind of cool actually to have a smaller one but , I miss my big originals. i almost returned this but... its alright

I was excited when I saw these lights listed. This light meet the size I needed to place on a two tier small corner table. It provides a warm and cozy light effect. The lava has a cool flow. The product is made well, I like the metal housing and glass feature. I am thinking of ordering another one for another area in my house. It is a cool accent piece!
