Bring back the art of shaving!
This is great the blades work out to pennies per shave, and last along time. You can shave with one side of the blade twirl it around and continue with the other side of the razor before rinsing off. It really makes shaving an experience again. After I shave I want to sit in a chair with my smoking jacket on, smoking a pipe and reading the newspaper, yes a NewsPAPER as in PAPER! It is a very nice experience! Be a MAN AGAIN!!!! Oh and ladies it is great on your legs too! My girlfriend uses it all the time....

It’s good, for the price.
While this razor seems to be built for budget, I think the attention to detail could go a little bit farther during the assembly process. The razor feels very light, and relatively cheap. As soon as I opened the package, all giddy like a kid at Christmas, I was immediately left thinking about putting it back in the box and sending it directly back to amazon.Rather than send it back, I decided to at least give it a shot. I tried the butterfly mechanism, and it seems ok, but not fantastic. At full tension, it leave the blade at a VERY aggressive angle. I would suggest anyone that may be a beginner, like myself, take their precious time figuring out what the angle of attack is with which ever blade you decide to load. I took my precious time, and I was actually very surprised with how comfortable the shave was overall. The one issue I ran into during shaving was the butterfly mechanism. It loosened quite a few times when I went to rinse the blade for the next stroke. While this is a minuscule issue, it took time to focus and cinching it back down, and then 1-2 rinses later, it loosened again. The butterflies also do not sit flush. One side is perfectly flush, while the other is not. That can be seen in the last two pictures. The center post is also using a very small tack weld to hold everything in place. I am not sure why the manufacturer would tack one time spot on each side of the butterfly, and not use a slightly longer weld to secure the entire post. It’s a very small area to weld if they decided to get everything.Lastly, the finish... the finish looks cheap. While it looks polished, it is very rough in most spots, and the combs are not combs, they are just design to look like combs.. the overall comb design isn’t even even, and doesn’t even cover the same areas on both sides of the razor head, but then again, this is a very inexpensive razor, so I feel like it should be expected.Overall impressions, I will use it until it breaks, which is inevitable with the construction. For the price, I don’t expect much better. I can’t give it a 4 or 5 star rating based on the facts of the construction and finish, but it does do what I expected for now.

Parker 60R. Good feel, bad attention to detail
I ordered this razor because i wanted to add a mild shaving butterfly safety razor to my collection. I've looked at Parker for some time and have heard many good things about them, and in some ways i will agree. The razor arrived undamaged and in nice packaging. The quality of the razor feels nice, it has a decent "heft" to it so I'm sure it would be an efficent shaver. The metal had a few minor pitting blemishes, but this was of little concern to me. On to my favorite part of the razor... The nickel plating was very nice! I have a nickel plated razor in my collection, but i really like the coating on this Parker. On to why i am returning it... The etching. The etching is beautiful, a photo of it doesn't do it justice. Also, it is etched quite deep, which adds to the beauty. The problem is, it's not centered on the barrel. The first photo shows it laying flat on my counter, and the second shows the angle i have to hold it to see the etching straight on. For me that's a game over.I returned the razor and did not use it so i cannot attest to its performance. I bet it would've done a good job once i figured out its angle. For me the etching being way off center was the deal breaker. The etching was my main reason for buying it in the first place as it really caught my eye. When it arrived like that, it was an eye sore i couldn't tolerate.

Works best with higher quality razors.
I appreciate that it’s not plastic, and I’ll have it for a very long time. I seem to need to tighten it a few times while shaving my legs. It’s a minor inconvenience though. I had to do the same with a metal razor twice the price. At first I used blades I had left from a different company, and had no problems. When I tried the blades that came with the razor, I ended up cutting myself several times. I highly recommend purchasing higher quality razors!

Harsh Shave (for me)
Well built, but felt extremely heavy; I’m new to “wet shaving” and this particular razor was too rough for my skin.
