Grey's Anatomy

The first time I watched "Grey's Anatomy", I was sucked into the show by the music as much as by the writing and characters. Which has never happened to me before, to be sucked in by the music. I rarely even notice the music in other shows (except maybe "Six Feet Under"). I bought this CD as a birthday gift to myself and I LOVE every single song on it! I even love the fact that I have never heard of any of the bands on the CD, not one single band. They aren't Top Forty, they aren't over played on the radio, but yet they are gems of a find! WHERE did the people responsible for the music on the show FIND or hear of these bands?! The songs are amazing! This morning I drove off to work listening to the first song, "Such Great Heights". The sun was shining on me, it was Monday morning; the start of a new week and I thought to myself, "Today's going to be a good day!" Such is the way EVERY song on the CD makes you feel! I highly recommend this CD to anyone looking for new, fresh, feel-good music. With such uplifting music, how could I NOT recommend it to people who have the same passion for incredible music?! Some reviews have stated that the music does not seem inspired by "Grey's Anatomy" and that the selections of songs on the CD do not remind them of the show. I say, just close your eyes and listen to the CD and judge it on its own merit. If you really listen to the songs instead of trying to find the show in them, you will NOT be disappointed.

This is a great TV show and the first season's music soundtrack was one of the things that made it stand out. I bought this CD the day it was released on Amazon. If you listen to this CD and enjoy Cosy in the Rocket, buy Psapp's Tiger, My Friend. You will not regret it. I've not heard anything as different and good as Psapp in a long time. And now - this is for Psapp and their fans: Hello! Just wanted to congratulate you on the release of your Cosy in the Rocket song on the Grey's Anatomy first season soundtrack that was released at Amazon.com today on CD. Pity that the show didn't use Cosy in the Rocket again for the theme song in the second season Grey's Anatomy. It's their loss, you know. I've been a fan since episode one. This brings back memories.

I was not happy with the CD. I thought the music was from a certain season and episode. What I put in for was not what I received the description was not clear or my understanding was not clear.

Just great music.

I have always said the music used in this series not only fit the mood perfectly of the episode, its very enjoyable. I love the CD and listen to it often.

Love this CD had it for five years and still listen to it all the time. And recently on the sing along episode in season 7 had many of these songs on them. I was so excited I knew them all. :)

This is the 2nd cd I have purchased in about a month in a half and it has deep scratches on the case
