Cool, but functional too
AeroCool Open Frame Design PC Cases StrikeX-Air Black/RedWhen you look up the word cool in the dictionary, it shows a picture of this case. I build a lot of computers and have used probably most of the more popular cases out there for my personal builds. I decided I wanted something really different. After a lot of research, I settled on this one. I only wish I had bought a dozen of them. Everyone who has seen it wants one. It is just that cool looking. Just make sure you have plenty of desk space because this is much larger than it looks.I have had none of the problems with it that others have mentioned. I have a GTX 980 Classified video card and the top won't come completely down. But it was made so the top can be left in a horizontal position if needed. So, no problem there. The PSU bracket everyone complained about, I had no problem with and I have removed the PSU several times and replaced it. I am also not happy with the way the 5.25' bays are made. They are too oversized and make for a sloppy fit. But if you take your time, things can be put in right and everything works out right. I wish there were covers for unused bays too. I don't use a DVD drive, well I didn't used to. I put one in so there wouldn't be a big empty hole. I have a 6 bay hot swap drive cage and a fan controller in the others. If you want to do custom water cooling, you will have to be creative. The instructions show how to mount a radiator on the back, and it does work, unless you want to use a "Real" radiator. The bar that holds it is not heavy duty enough to support what I call a real radiator. Plus, it will make getting to the rear ports of the Motherboard difficult. It does not block them, but you have to get below the cooler to see them. They work fine, it just makes it more difficult. If you get this case, take some time to look at it and decide where you are going to put everything and in which order will make it an easier build. With this case it does make a big difference. With all of this being said, this case is very cool looking and will keep your components cool. If your computer is in a dusty area, be ready to clean it more often. I have not had a bad problem with dust but the case is made where parts are easy to get to. So, cleaning it is no big deal. I know I complained about a lot of stuff, but this is a good case. If you are an enthusiast who enjoys working on your computer and having easy access to all components. This is a case you should consider. With all of my complaints, I would buy this case again tomorrow. Overall, I am quite satisfied with it. OK, actually I love it and I am no young kid or going through midlife crisis. I'm too old for midlife crisis. But, I like this case and the ease of access. It's also OK to be old and have cool stuff too. I'll be happy to answer any questions anyone has. I have been using the case for about 4 months now.

Great case but don't let the photos fool you it ...
Great case but don't let the photos fool you it is huge, I need to contact the manufacturer the drive bays where the hard drives sit plug into a box then you plug that box into your motherboard. When I use the supplied box my PC doesn't recognize any hard drives, when I plug them up the way they were in my old case it boots right into windows. What I mean by this is there are plugs mimicking your sata and power cable built into the drive bay so when you slide your hard drive in it gets a power and sata plug right into the HDD so you don't need the extra cables coming off your power supply and motherboard. On my case when I seat them firmly BIOS doesn't recognize my HDD's at all and gives me an error that i need a OS to boot into hopefully Aerocool can help me with this issue.

Amazing case. Highly recommend.
I got this case to replace my Cool Master HAF X. I wanted the best cooling possible with the ability to swap parts with ease. I was originally going to go with the corsair 450D but ended up going with this because the cooling simply can not be beat. Packaging was really well done. Enclosed in huge Styrofoam and then wrapped in a plastic bag. They could not have protected it any better. Now it was a bit larger then the picture makes it seam (of course you can look at dimensions but I did not since I did not care of the size). The case is very long and just something to consider since most cases are towers and you do not expect to need much desk space. (Towers maybe 5in wide but this is like almost two feet.) Also the feet that support the case come out a bit (about foot and half). The case it self I must admit is bit more plastic then I thought BUT it is very sturdy and does not feel like it is going to break at all. Again the plastic does not feel cheap and has nice soft textured feel to it. Installing was fairly easy just need to plan where everything is going, which is no different then any other case BUT this requires you to plug everything into psu before installing it since the hdd cage on the opposite end and trying to plug something after it is installed is almost impossible. Then once you wrestle your cables threw the cut out to get cables under the case everything is very easy. Plenty of cutouts to hid your cables and routing. Plenty of room to work with. Even though it is technically a 'benchmark case' it looks really good if you route your cables correctly. Temps are as low as you can get as you would expect. Also since the picture does not say it has a back metal bar to mount up to 240mm rad (two 120mm fans). Also does not show but there is a 120mm red led fan included thats by the hdd/ssd for cooling already mounted.
