Another good good product
Dremel has some consistency issues across their product line. This gadget is a good one. I'm amazed at how it does not screw up whatever you are working on. The results are very subtle. I was also surprised how powerful the oscillation is. I can only use it on the lowest speed. And I've only tried one of the contours but it's easy to use and like I said, I don't have to worry about overdoing it. It is subtle. No oopsies moments where you realize you just sanded away too much. And no slipping or pieces rocketing out of you hand. My one gripe would be that there do not seem to be different grit sizes for the tubes. However, seeing that it doesn't chew into your piece, the sanding tubes provided are adequate. And finally, I thought about getting a band saw and working with this gizmo gives me a feeling of what a bandsaw could accomplish. So glad I gave this item a chance. Oh, and I have no idea why ppl are saying the rubber gets hot. I would say the exact opposite. I keep checking it and it is never hot. And nothing is flying off or melting.

I'm happy with the purchase and would do it again
It worked exactly as expected. There are places it won't reach but not many. And the paper is rotateable so it should last awhile per piece. I'm happy with the purchase and would do it again.

An excellent tool, if you use it properly
I do a lot of power carving, and whenever I was ready to start cleaning up the cut marks in the crevices and hard to reach places, I used various home-made wooden and plastic forms that I'd have to wrap with sandpaper and hand sand until it was smooth. Then I found this Dremel attachment a few months ago. It has completely replaced that laborious step of my process. I just turn my Makita multi-tool to level 2 (out of 5), and just take it easy. As long as I don't put excess pressure on the sander, it does the job efficiently and quickly. It is also very useful for the finer sanding steps in those same areas.I only wish Dremel sold replacement sanding sheets.

Wonderful Idea; Fails to Work Long-Term
We try to heed others' reviews on here, but we didn't do so with this product because we felt that our needs were slightly different than those of the comments we read; so we ordered them. This are a great idea in theory, and for some of the time they work well. But, like we read in others' reviews, the plastic/rubber piece does get hot and tend to slide the sand paper off of the adapter. It's fine for smaller (way smaller) more incremental jobs, but long-term projects may experience the same downfall as we did. We didn't., however, get to use ALL of the pieces because our Dremel died while completing our project (Sanding lichen off of our outdoor teak dining set).

Great tools great price excellent same day delivery
Awesome little tools for hard to sand areas especially curves and round edges for which I am using again to sand french provincial white furniture to bare wood. I have purchased many of these over the last 2 years. Helped reduce sanding time dramatically on a 7pc french provincial bedroom set I restored years ago. Now I'm onto my restoring 2nd french provincial set. Note very hard to find in Stock in stores. I tried farm n fleet , menards, walmart, home depot, Lowes no one had them in stock. Amazon to the rescue again. I also have prime so I ordered 7am in morning and they were delivered 5pm same day free shipping.

Come On Dremel!! You Can Do Better Than That!!
While the thought is good, this is more a gadget than a useful tool accessory. Tried to sand some chair rail and other detailed items, but the exercise proved to be more frustrating than effective. The rubber contours, once they heat up a bit, as a result of the “sanding” movement and friction, becomes soft and slips out of the sanding holder. Once that starts, due to the softer rubber, the contour is basically useless (until it cools and hardens again.) In other words, if one only needs to sand a small area, the contour may remain in its holder and the tool will be useful. However, for projects requiring a bit more time, this accessory is useless and one might as well anticipate hand sanding. This a waste of money and I agree with other reviewers that more is to be expected from Dremel.

These Dremel Contour Sanding accessories are great! It made the sanding of our kitchen cabinets much easier! The different contours were so helpful in getting in the little crooks and crevices. I can't imagine tackling this job without them. The only thing I would improve on is the durability of the accessory release. Granted, we had to sand the profiles of 45 cabinets and drawers, but both sets we purchased were broken in the end. We undoubtedly got our money's worth out of these remarkable little tools. And we would ABSOLUTELY purchase another set for any future jobs. They are very affordable and worked wonderfully!
