This is what you get in today's market. Everything seems to be junk.
Large open messed up sections, one right in the middle so if you need a 12" section you probably need 3 feet of it in order to hope to get a foot un-messed up. Total waste of time. Even the weaves not blown open by the pins are uneven and garbage with uneven gaps and loose threads.

The Quality Really IS a Problem; Find another brand
As other reviewers have noted AND provided pictures, the weave really does get knots and loops in it and has sections with large gaps that really defeat the purpose of what is supposed to be an aesthetic product. I had bought another company's product prior, but after stretching it to my radiator hose's diameter, it wasn't long enough.The Spectre 5008B WAS plenty long enough to cover a single 1.5" diameter radiator hose, but I really did have to focus on how to cut and rotate the thing so that the worst of it's many quality flaws just didn't show up. The other brand was much higher quality...

Very good quality
I am using this braid over a header on my motorcycle to hide rusted tubes. looks great and up to date has not changed its color.
