Product Description Rid your home of pesky fleas with Vetri-Science, a fast-working, flea control for your pet. Kills fleas, eggs and larvae. Killing fleas quickly is important, as it prevents them from laying eggs and helps reduce the risk of secondary problems, such as flea allergy dermatitis and tapeworms. Flea bites can cause discomfort for your pet, lead to skin infections and allergic skin reactions causing irritation and can even transmit other disease-causing organisms. Contains the active ingredient fipronil that effectively targets fleas, ticks, chewing lice and mosquitos; Fipronil collects in the oils of the skin and hair follicles and continues to be released onto the skin and coat, resulting in fast-acting, long-lasting activity; Box contains 3 doses. .com Flea & Tick Defense for Dogs

YES it works, or is very likely to. Be wary of negative reviews from potential competitors
Fipronil is the ingredient, at least as well documented as any competitor chemical. When Fipronil copyright was no longer exclusive to Frontline, other companies could offer the same thing for much less money. Note also, there are not other drugs combined in this formula, so your pet just gets the minimum chemical necessary to prevent fleas & ticks (*including deer ticks, not just the less harmful ticks), if that's all you need. If it turns out you live in a location where fleas or ticks have developed an immunity to Fipronil, then at least you tried - I have my doubts this is as common as some people imply. I would be wary of scare reviews possibly sponsored by companies with exclusive copyright claims to different chemicals. If you have to use a chemical on your pet to treat pests, what's wrong with trying one of the most time-tested ones? Also I've used on a Collie mix with very long AND dense hair, as well as a poodle that doesn't get groomed as much as it should. NO ticks, NO fleas, plenty of dense vegetation in the area they run through.

Works on all 3 dogs
Works just fine on all 3 dogs (Aussie, Mastiff & Pug) Someone said not good for dogs with a thick coat, but I use a hair trimmer, shave a dime size spot and apply to skin with no problems. I live in a heavily wooded area loaded with ticks & fleas and my dogs are tick & flea free, so it must be working. Will buy again.

I would love to give a great review for this product
I would love to give a great review for this product, but it has been two weeks since I applied the product to my beagle mix and there has been no improvement in the infestation. In fact, it seems like the fleas are still breeding vigorously and have actually increased in numbers. I'm giving it one more week and then I'll post my final thoughts on the product. Hopefully it kills them off suddenly and just needed a little time to get into my pets system. The price is great, but horrible if it doesn't kill the fleas. It does seem to have killed the ticks though....

Works
Fleas are really bad in my area this year and the typical high priced flea treatments weren't working. I figured I'd give this a try after researching and reading other reviews. First off, the price is great compared to the typical high priced good stuff. This stuff went on easy and didn't leave a greasy residue for days as other brands sometimes do. As far as the fleas go, it seems to have killed all of the Fleas on the dogs. I do still find the occasional flea around the house but I'm not surprised by this as I know it's a bad year for them.

Useless and ineffective
This LOOKS like the Frontline packaging, but that is the extent of the similarities. This preventative tick medication is absolutely useless. I pulled two ticks off of my dog this month after applying this product to him. Now I have to wonder if I missed any in the three months that we've been using this stuff. I had hoped to find a less expensive alternative with this, but I guess it's true that you get what you pay for. Medicating your dog with this product is like not medicating him at all.

Great Product!
Great Product! I'm very pleased to have finally found an affordable flea product that works quickly and effectively! Although I tried to get it all in one spot on the dog's skin, having a little grease spot in the long dog hair is inevitable but dried up with in one day. It was a non issue! This product has solved my dog's itching and hair loss problem. It's a great big relief for both of us! This will be my dog's new flea treatment from now on. Would definitely recommend this product. Very happy! Thank you!

Effective and cheap.
Same chemical as the pricey one. Wish they were a lot cheaper but do the job.

Buyer beware, you get what you pay for (and more)
This product does NOT work at all. When I found out my dog had fleas I purchased this to use. I gave my dog a flea bath and used a fogger to rid my home of them. After two doses, I had to take him to the vet because not only did he still have fleas but he had developed a rash from something in this product. So I got what i paid for AND a $320 vet bill trying to be cheap. I'll stick with nextguard!!!
