Stunning aquarium. All you need for cold water fishies is in set. Highly recommended.

Nice little tank, shame about the lid.
Quite happy with this tank, the hidden compartment gives plenty of room for heaters and additional filter media. The light is perhaps not as strong as I'd like for plant growth, but at this price that's to be expected. Other reviewers have stated they can't use a timer for the lights but I'm using a basic mechanical type without any problems. The only real complaint is the awkward design of the lid hence 4 stars.

Beautiful but annoyingly loud
The media could not be loaded. I’m so upset about how loud it is as it is in the bedroom (would probably be fine in other busier rooms) it is a beautiful tank and the lifting is very good. I’ve read the lid was an issue but it’s not really that bad you just lift two bits off at different times

Whoever designed this thing has never had fish....,
The good news. Great looking tank, efficient pump and filter system, easy to put together. The bad news. The design of the lid with the separate light and the cable running though the end is a right pain in the proverbial. Whoever designed this has obviously never had to do a water change, large or small. Procedure goes as follows, 1 - unplug the light cable, 2 - lift the lid 3- fish (pun intended) the lid out of the tank because it's fallen in, 4 - feed fish to calm them down as they are now really stressedIs it me? If you use it as a salt water tank do you not have to change water regularly to keep it healthy?Pity, great piece of kit otherwise. Recommended as long as you don't often do a water change.Update..., and, as Trevor R points out, shrimp get into the chambers.Overall, after a few months, I wish I hadn’t bought this particular aquarium.Update..., watch out for this going second hand soon. Going to replace it with something that is more user friendly. Looks great, pain to own.

Only one issue
Only problem I have with this tankIs the black Plastic divide between the main tank and the areas the pumps and filters are kept. Algae will appear on it and the plastic is a lot more difficult to keep clean than the glass.

Not friendly with small fish or shrimp
Lid. Is in two pieces very difficult to juggle with when water changing or cleaning glass or gravel. If you are planning to keep small fish and shrimp as I am be prepared to remove pump and sometimes the filter on a regular basis as fish and shrimp get in those compartments this is a very bad design fault as is the lid.Looks good when set up but could not recommend. Wish I had not bought mine.

Keep having to rescue fish and shrimps
Bought this as an upgrade from our 26l tank. Was really easy to setup and look great to start with until after 3 days when I found a shrimp in the filter compartment in the side. 2 days later one of the little fish did exactly the same so the middle hole has now been filled with a bit of sponge to hopefully stop any more getting in and the need to remove everything to get them out and hoping won’t cause a problem with a filter. The lid is fiddly as in two parts but I just remove for water changes.Looks great though and was a good price.
