Great for acne prone skin, prevent cakey makeup
Amazing mask. Great for flaky oily skin. Prevent cakey makeupI have extreme oily skin, so naturally I'm still experiencing acne as an adult because of it. And because of acne, my skin is always flaky with bits of skin hanging here and there. It's extremely hard to get rid of. I tried all the YouTube tricks to exfoliate but I never get a smooth canvas to put makeup on and it always end up cakey and the makeup melts off my face bc the oil comes out after a couple hours. I had to use expensive (for a college student) moisturizer $25/oz to keep down the flakes, and barely effective. Normally, I put on the mask 30min and moisturizer to prep my skin for the next 3 days or so and it worked great. But After leaving on the mask overnight once by accident, the next morning my face was so smooth. No more flakes of skin. My foundation and powder go on flawlessly and it lasted more than twice as long as normal before melting off. I can use this mask now together with just a cheap moisturizer maybe $2-3/oz and still get away with beautiful smooth makeup.PROS:1. Smells great2. Super moisturizing3. Great for getting rid of flaky skin to prevent cakey makeup4. Reduces redness visibly5. Reduce oil production and thus acne productionCONS:1. Storage and handling have to be careful to keep clean2. Can be messy when washing it off your face bc it's black3. Might not be for all types of skinWARNING:1. store in the fridge and use a clean spoon to scoop out just the amount of mask for use every time or you'll contaminate it and it will grow mold.2. Not for everybody's skin. Some people might be more sensitive than others. I can leave this mask on for three four hours and still be fine but my friend left it on for two hours and her face felt tender afterward.

Give it time, and make it part of your schedule and you will see the results!
**Updated 3/20/17**So it has been a while now that I have used this product. First, I want to say the company has been more than friendly and reached out to me for my honest review- which I gave previously. I have been using this face mask 2-3 times a week (the label does say only once but I felt like I needed more) and for the first time in a long time I have not had any crazy cystic acne break outs. I do not know if this product is the sole reason (I am using new oils and moisturizer as well). But, anytime I feel a new pimple coming, I use this mask for a few reasons. #1: it keeps me from picking at my face since a new pimple is very tempting. #2. It forces me to wash my face instead of being too lazy (having mud on my face is motivation to get off of my couch and go wash it off). And #3: it takes away the pain from the cystic acne. I also had a allergic reaction recently to the grease on onion rings- very cute, I know. And I put this mask on to help with the itching and the inflamed skin and it helped SO much. I regret leaving a bad review previously, before I gave it more time and before I figured out when it is working for me because I will officially be purchasing this again---------------------------------------------------------------------------------I wanted to use it once a week before I gave my review. I actually used it twice a week for the past two weeks and saw no difference. It smelt good, it felt good but I have not seen any changes in my skin. I did feel a bit cleaner after using the product. I wouldn't tell anyone not to try this product but I also wouldn't say it did anything for my skin but that is also just me. I have cystic acne, large pores and many scars(thank you hormones), this product didn't make any of it worse but it didn't help at all. I am slightly disappointed by all the before and after pictures everyone posted- it does make me question why they are leaving such good reviews but I will just go ahead and say that it could just be me. I will probably use it until it is finished but won't buy again.

- Super gentle on sensitive skin
If you, as I was, are struggling to choose between this mask and the famous Aztec clay mask, look no further. I own both, and after not enjoying the Aztec clay, I bought this mask, and now I don't even touch the Aztec container. This mask:- Super gentle on sensitive skin. I have oily yet temperamental skin and this felt great on it.- Easy, painless wiping off. Unlike the Aztec mask, this mud mask comes off super easily even after drying. It leaves your skin feeling soft and clean, and there's very minimal redness.- The scent is faint yet fresh. Some people have described it as floral, but it smells more like rain to me, which I love. It has a spa scent that makes the mask experience that much better.Aztec mask:- You have to mix it from the powder state that it comes in. Before purchase, I was unaware that buyers have to mix apple cider vinegar, water, and the clay powder itself. You shouldn't have to mix it yourself!- Extremely painful experience after drying. Once the Aztec mask is ready to be removed, you have to pry off dry little pieces from your skin, and it hurt way too much for the result to be worth it. My eyes tested up! Impossible to remove without cringing.- Very dusty smell, as expected from a clay powder. When you receive a jar of green dust, I suppose you shouldn't be surprised that it smells like dust.Overall, after trying both masks, this one wins out. I think they each have equal results (very soft, supple, deeply cleansed skin) but there are far more pros to this mask than the Aztec clay one. I'm a busy person who likes convenience, especially in beauty products like this one, so I'll be purchasing again once this slightly small jar is empty.
