It's not the easiest job to do.

This was an excellent purchase for my 7xxx series Norelco razor. Battery was only lasting ~1-2 weeks and power output was getting low after ~6 years of use. Now it feels like a brand new razor again, blades spin much faster, and the battery lasts almost a month. Skip the screwdriver and get the version with just the batteries if your razor has a slot for a flathead screwdriver. Use flux or rosin-core solder when soldering. The old stuff was difficult to remove and I had to re-solder the old stuff to get it to melt fully.

I am very pleased with the battery. I would have given it 5 stars if it hadn't been for having to remove and solder the new battery in place. Not for the novice but you can find a how to video on you tube. A lot better than replacing a $250 razor.

but with the supplied tool I was able to open up the shaver and de-solder the old batteries, and with another set of hands (thank you dear) the new battery is in and working. A polarity sign on the batteries would have helped. Arrived promptly and well packaged.

Was a little harder to solder, but once done the razor was given new life. I hate to throw things away that can be repaired.

Bought a nice Chinese soldering station for $40 which came with solder, bought a roll of wicking wire and this (nice screw oddball Philips screwdriver!) total investment about $50 and it saved me about $50 from buying a new razor - except now I have a soldering station and an extra $50. Works great - don't forget the wicking wire or you will be swearing instead of smiling.

Great price for the battery. Called a service center to fix my razor. They told me it would cost over a $100 to check it out and change the battery, and they wouldn't guarantee it would work.

doesn't hold same charge as original. didnt' test though.
