It's PERFECT!
Easy installation, perfect fit, bright red dot! I didn't even have to adjust the sight! What more could I ask?

Great at the current price point
Great at the current price point. Mine fits snug on a takedown 10/22 and works great. I did have some difficulty getting the screw to secure the barrel band started. Ended up employing my wife so I could squeeze the band carefully with pliers and start the screw while she held the back of the nut in place. Once started, no issues. Also, the small battery cover screws look like they are secured in the package inside a little baggy but they are not so be careful when you open it. My dad lost one and I had to search the couch and floor for one of mine even after being pretty careful opening the package.

Where have you been all my life......?
Original RUGER item arrived quickly at a very good price compared to some other suppliers. All original box and no fake copy. Installation was simple using just one screwdriver. You have to remove one barrel band from the RUGER 10/22. Laser unit is made of black carbon fiber material which is pretty sturdy. It was fairly close to the point of impact but needed a slight adjustment with the small supplied Allen wrench. Battery change is only possible by removing two tiny screws using a small Philips screw driver by removing a cover. The screws are very tiny and easily lost, especially if you would do that out in the open field. Uses two Lithium batteries which are not easily found at Walmart, so keep 2 or 3 sets on hand.Don't know how long they last since I used the gun and laser just a short time at night. A cross switch (pushing either to the left or right) turns the unit on, middle setting is off. Accuracy was good and laser was stable after about 100 rounds of .22LR.So far very satisfied. Has also two dovetails on left and right sight to mount a LED flash light for nighttime illumination.

Good, but not perfect
The laser sight arrived missing both battery cover screws, and the barrel band clamp screw was 1/8in too short to allow the barrel band clamp to be tightened. I called Lasermax customer service and they shipped me the parts the parts the same day, and at no cost to me. The laser installed easily and gives a nice bright red dot. The only things I don't like about it is that there is no provision for a remote switch, so to turn it on or off I have to reach all the way out to the stock's forend. And changing batteries with the sight installed on the rifle is a bit of a pita. Also, the batteries are somewhat expensive. But an internet search will turn up some less expensive ones. And you can also use 2 LR44 batteries or their equivalent. All in all I'm satisfied with it, especially considering that I purchased it for about 1/3 of its MSRP.

go somewhere else
Really like my 10/22! Very disappointed with this laser. The positive (2-stars) was that it is easy to mount. That's about it. The laser is extremely weak. Totally defused during natural light. Would not recommend or purchase again.

It's a good idea,poorly executed
I like the concept but it's poorly executed. The laser is weak and the on/off switch is a joke. It's not rechargeable and the battery it takes is not cheap. The 2 side mounts stick out like a sore thumb, it only needs to have 1 mount on the bottom for a flashlight. There are other ways to mount a laser on your 10/22 you might want to look at those before you purchase this. I would not pay $56 for it I got it for $35 so not too bad but overall I can't recommend it, more cons than pros.
