This is a convenient product and 50mg is what every adult, unless contraindicated, should be taking. If possible, learn to make your own liquid Lugol's Iodine. It is extremely easy, instruction are on Youtube. You will save a bundle and, imo, the liquid is better absorbed. The RDA of 150 ug is stupid, the absolute minimum should be 25mg for adults and 12.5mg for kids. You cannot overdose on iodine until you get way over a gram. Most peeps are deficient, terribly so.

SO Pleased with this product---Take 1 every morning and have lost 6 pounds in about 3 weeks--mostly belly fat--without any change in diet or exercise. I have been trying for a long time to convince doctors that I have low thyroid, but when tested it shows low thyroid but borderline enough that they don't want to give me any medication for the problem. I have read that some people need more thyroid hormone than others. I have every symptom, but the doctors won't budge! So,I took my problem into my own hands and began taking iodine on my own (not recommended) but I was desperate. I read that 50mg is the recommended dose for low thyroid so this is perfect. Already feeling significantly better. I will continue to take this supplement. Thanks for having this product available!

Im giving this two stars because I’m not sure this product is Iodine by Iodoral. Check out my attached pic. I took advantage of the low price 40 bucks for 90 tabs and when I cracked the seal the tabs are White. Ive been purchasing Iodoral from Optimax directly and the tabs are yellow like Iodine. Iodine is clearly deep purple/orange why is there no hint of color in these white tabs?Conclusion, there may be no iodine thus the discounted price tag?! Im going to wrote to Optimax and clear this up. May be returning this bottle.

This product was recommended by an alternative medicine doctor. Arrived promptly, well-packaged and performs as expected. What more can you say?

I did not jump right on here and review this product as soon as I bought it. I have used it for over six months and this is my third bottle and the last one I will buy. I read the reviews and have come to the conclusion that some are being written by the people selling the product as I have not had the amazing and life-changing experiences being claimed in the reviews. I still have pain from osteoarthritis in my spine, no change there. I'm not jumping out of bed every day pain-free and full of energy as some have claimed to be doing - I'm limping out of bed as usual and relying on muscle relaxers to help me move around. While my hairdresser at one point said she could see some new hair growth, it must have fallen out because I don't see any at all. I still have very thin, fragile hair with some bald spots as I have had ever since undergoing chemo in 2009. What a disappointment! I really, really hoped my thick, wavy hair would grow back in but this product did nothing for me in that regard. My advice is to save your money.

Over the last two years I normally have taken one or two of the iodoral 12.5 mg pills a day, but thought I should increase the amount to get the full affect so I bought this 50 mg. bottle. Turns out that my body has a slight allergic reaction when taken this large amount all at one time. Since the pills are scored down the center it makes it easy to break the pills up so I can adjust the dosage and take it at different times. I know I am just one person and that everyone's body will react differently. Other than that this is a great product that has help with my mental fog. I would heartily recommend this product to anyone seeking to better there health.

I was having difficulty with my thyroid. This is the only product that has helped to bring my levels up. Even the prescriptions didn't help me that much, but when I added one IOD 50 tablet, they finally normalized.

ES WIRKT SCHNELL!Wichtig zu wissen ist noch, dass Jod ja die Gifte, (Schwermetalle & Co.) aus den Zellen hinaus befördert und diese am besten mit der Bio-Braunalge (Ascophyllum nodosum), ich bevorzuge die von Telomit®, gebunden und schadlos abgeführt werden müssen. Ansonsten könnten Vergiftungserscheinungen durch die frei werdenden Gifte entstehen. In Europa schulmedizinisch ausgebildete Ärzte kennen die Hochdosisjodtherapie nicht, mit der in den USA Krankheiten geheilt werden, die Drüsen betreffen, und denken, zu viel Jod wäre schädlich, weil Vergiftungserscheinungen aufträten.
