Awesome for nursing mothers bringing milk home to a baby
I used this cooler as a nursing mother working full time in an office, and traveling frequently on business trips for over a year. If you want a cooler that will keep your milk very cold through cross-country flights, fit under-the-seat in front of you (note that TSA is required to consider breast milk to be medication, so if you use this bag exclusively for milk, it should not count against your carry on), and looks like a professional business bag that won't lead to weird conversations with coworkers, this is the bag you need. And then you don't need to freeze your milk - it stays cold enough en route. The bag is tough, durable, and pretty lightweight. Put a frozen-solid igloo ice block in right before you leave for the airport/work, though bring several empty gallon-size ziploc bags that you can fill with ice after security if TSA improperly takes away your igloo ice pack. Put all your lanisoh bags of milk in another gallon-size ziploc so that they are more protected when you go through secondary screening with TSA (note that TSA is NOT allowed to make you open any milk bags and thus contaminate the milk, only allowed to test the outside of the bags). Have your hotel freeze the igloo block for you in their walk-in freezer; the bellman can take it at night and bring it back to you in the morning. The 12-pack size was big enough for a 3/4-day business trip for me.

Great Cooler
These are great coolers. My family likes to go boating on the weekends and we take two of these along (1 for food and 1 for beverages). They definitely hold ice for the entire day, and are much easier to manage then large, bulky plastic coolers. I have friends that own Yeti Hopper coolers and these hold ice as well or better than the similar Yeti. The only negative I could see between the Polar Bear and the Yeti is the Polar Bear cooler will leak water out of the zipper if you turn it on its side. This has never been a problem for me since I keep them upright when they are full, but if you need the zipper to be watertight than you may want to look at the Yeti. I bought 2 of these polar bears for about half the price of 1 Yeti and have zero regrets.UPDATE 5/1/17 Today the 1st cooler I purchased started leaking. I emptied the cooler out to inspect the liner and I can't see any holes. I just looked at the warranty and it states 2 year full replacement. Unfortunately I purchased mine almost 3 years ago. It was a good cooler while it lasted. I think for $80 you should get more than 2 summers. I'll see how the second one holds up. Reducing to 3 stars.

Excellent quality, very durable bag
I used this cooler extensively on a two month road trip. If the items you are packing are all cold and you fill the remaining space with ice, you might get a day and a half until the ice is completely melted, and another half day until the resulting water slurry is warm enough that you absolutely need to change it. I was expecting 2 - 3 days between re-icing, but 1.5 - 2 days is still OK. The interior is nicely waterproof as long as you are careful not to invert the bag, because water can get into the material of the bag through the seams near the zipper. This happens a little bit when you pour the melt water out but it's not a big deal. The zipper is sturdy and took alot of use and abuse without any problems. The snap down mechanism that tightens the bag up is easy to use and keeps everything snug and tight. The bag can be quite heavy when completely full, so I wouldn't buy any version of the bag bigger than this one. My one issue was that the zipper area ended up smelling pretty bad for a while there, perhaps I had let a few food items get a bit too warm a few too many times. But after a couple days of airing out that problem went away. Also the bag smells terrible when you first get it and the smell remains even after a week of airing it out. But after using it for a couple of weeks, the smell was completely gone.

Well built, works as advertised.
Just used this cooler to fly about 30 lbs of deer meat cross country. Total time from freezer to freezer was 6.5 hours and everything was still very frozen when I unpacked the cooler. Worth mentioning that the meat was frozen going into the cooler and I did not add ice.The craftsmanship of the cooler is top notch. Very clean stiching and seams. The zipper, liner and handles are also robust.I purchased this to stuff in my luggage and fly back meat after hunting trips and also keep the beer cold while on said hunting trip. This cooler is more than adequate for those purposes.

Perfect for Disney
After trying and hating the Ice Mule backpack because of its awkward size when carrying, I bought this for Disney along with medium sized Cooler Shock with the screw caps. I froze the cooler shocks for 3 days and packed the cooler this morning at 7am with 3 cooler shocks, 2 gatorades, 2 waters, 2 mt dews, 6 slices of bread, tupperware, and still had room to hold my friends kids capri suns. The weight was not bad at all with all of that, the straps are very comfortable and wide. I carried this around Animal Kingdom for 8 hours in park time and never thought I wanted this thing off my back. Got home at 7pm and the cooler shocks were still 80% solid and hurt to the touch, everything was way colder than a fridge. This is all while opening this cooler I'd say above average amount of times. I honestly believe I could have went to the park a second day with the same ice packs.COULD BE BETTER:- The elastic on the sides that are supposed to hold water bottles are not that elastic. I can get a water bottle in there after pushing the sides in to make room- A strap across the chest I feel would help take more pressure off of the shouldersTIPS:- Don't forget to do the hot water setup when you first get the bag. It really helped open the bag up.- Be careful when inserting the cooler shocks, I am worried they can slit the liner although unlikely- Remember that cold sinks, so stack the coolershocks accordingly
