Wow, talk about great value! The picture and sound are really very good. WiFi set up was a breeze though I did find the Smart Hub apps to be slow to respond to the remote control. Since I have an Amazon Fire Stick in HDMI2, I don't really care as I won't be using them often I suspect. I don't think you can beat it for the price.

good tv for the money

We have a 55" Smart TV by Samsung upstairs and love it. Samsung has the blackest blacks and the whitest whites and the color are true and vivid. The 40 inch doesn't disappoint us and is as good as the one we have upstairs. Great TV and I don't worry if it is refurbished, as it works and it is warrantied to work.

This TV seems to have lots of lag when you use the remote control. I find it somewhat tedious to switch between Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc, because everytime I hit a button, there seems to be a 4 or 5 second lag. I know this may be due to internet service, but my friend tried their tv using my internet and it's faster. I mainly bought this tv out of necessity and laziness - I didn't do all the research in the world, which I should have. If I could do it again I would look for a better tv.

I ordered a 40" (and paid for such) and received a TV with size in low 30-something inchUnbelievable

Was Kinda worried with it being a refurbish, but that fear was short. The picture and sound was perfect and easy to set up the channels and wifi.It was also so easy to set up multicast my android ,tablet and network my pc to my tv over WiFi. With this unit i,m also able to get rid of allot of cat cables and other equipment . No more Roku and dvd player . I,m very happy with this purchase Update. Tv died lasted 14 years

The smart hub implementation on this TV is really crappy. I used to have a Amazon Fire TV stick on my previous tv and the iPhone app was a great complement. You could move through options and playback with ease. I made the mistake of giving the fire TV away when I downsized because this television had the Smart hub Amazon video app already installed. It is absolutely terrible. Often times it won't even launch without exiting back out of Smart hub and when it does launch it is really clunky to control playback. I also purchased an HBONOW subscription since I had read the app was available on Smart hub. Well apparently it isn't available for this particular model of Samsung television. So i am stuck using my subscription on an iPhone screen. There is an app called TVCast that claims to be free and can solve all your casting issues but you can't even play a video without purchasing premium, and "sometimes you have to play the entire video on your phone before you can cast it to the TV" WTH!?!Another huge failing is the joystick-type power/navigation button. There are literally situations where it is impossible to switch the tv off without the remote. I wish I had bought it on Amazon instead of woot and I would have returned it the day it arrived.The placement of the HDMI ports is such that they are inaccessible/unusable when the tv is wall mounted using a standard mount.I will say it has a nice picture. But it is so light it feels like it's made of cardboard and that scares me a little.Very disappointed in this television overall. The title should be Very Limited Web TV
